Hmm, when I had games freezing it was a RAM problem, dont know if that is happening for you too or not though.

If it's the machine in your sig, OCing may be the problem. When a machine is OCed, it usually becomes less stable.

You posted this same question in the Media forum. The solution is still the same. The 3.8's will not work with CoD, you have to install either the 3.10's or 4.1's. You need to get the new driver, because CoD is such a great game.

I could mail the driver to you- but I'm not sure how long it would take to get there. Do you know anyone that can download it for you? If not, send me a PM with your address and I'll mail you a copy on CD.

From the Firingsquad site:
Other than the new name, the biggest topic surrounding CATALYST 3.10 is game compatibility. If you recall, shortly after we posted our CATALYST 3.9 report, ATI issued a hotfix for its CATALYST driver to resolve the issues with Call of Duty. ATI cards were notorious for crashing with this game, which was the #2 selling game in November and December, behind The Sims: Makin’ Magic (an expansion pack that costs less than Call of Duty). In fact, Call of Duty has already surpassed Battlefield 1942 and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory as the #2 game played online so clearly this was an issue that needed to be addressed.
