Halo, weird problems
HI, i just got halo and there are two strange problems with the game. 1. Unless i have the video card settings on full just about everything, the game is just blocks of colour and very basic shapes with no detail and 2. on the menus and in the game, it automatically scrolls randomly through the menus when i do not do anything and when i try to play the game, it walks backwards all the time! does anyone know what could be wrong? thanks

You seem to be having many problems with your games, maybe its a hardware problem if its happening with mulitiple games,
Also if you just got Halo get all the updates/patches for it www.microsoft.com/games/halo/ |

Its soooooo weird! I installed the 4.1 catalysts today and when i reinstalled the game, the problem had stopped! I then put in a new game to start on campaign went back to the main menu, went into options and it just started scrolling through again! I tried to install the patch but it will not let me for some reason! Can anyone help?!
I think there is something wrong with my grapgics card anyway so I may spend a little extra and swap it for an iceq 9800pro. BTW it cannot be the game because it worked fine on my friends computer. |

hi, i know ur bored of the thread but i dont care lol. I have worked out exactly what is wrong with my halo. It starts scrolling through the menu when i create a new profile but when i delete that player profile, it works again. The automatic place for it to go is into my documents in a folder called my games. Does anyone think changing where it goes might solve the problem and if so how do i do it?! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Tom

What is this "patch" im hearing about cause mine runs great except when theres a lot of explosions going on.

sorry, i have worked it out, it is because i had a joystick plugged in and even though it wasnt being moved it must have effected it in some way!
 Although when i was playing today, my sound suddenly went all metallicy and then it buzzed really loudly and stopped altogether though i guess thats prob the sound card not the game so not really for this forum
