Best game for 2004
Due to popular demand I'm adding a new poll for more games. Please disregard the old poll and vote on this one.
I still say Half-Life 2 will dominate the next gen shooters (if it's released this year) |

Battlefield Vietnam for sure as it is most likely going to come
out on its planned date (March) and being created by the people who brought us Battlefield 1942 i expect and hope it to be an awesom game, Jungle warfare will rock with the addition of Helicopters im so excited. Of course i look forward to Half Life and Doom 3 but that seems so far away |

Wow, I didn't think there was this much hype around BF: Vietnam.

Yes, I play it or Desert Combat everday.
I will definatly be getting BF: Vietname but I'm just saying I wouldn't figure that it had more hype then the FPS jugernauts, Doom 3 and Half-Life 2. |

Although I've never played HL or the previous Doom's, there is absolutely no way they can equal the enjoyment of the multiplayer in the BF series. And as I mentioned on the other thread, we will have BFV on the originally announced release date...no frills, no BS. HL2 and D3 look like games that belong on a console in my opinion.

I second TRIBES Vengeance, nothing beats Jetpacks. Nothing.

I am saying BF: Vietnam, simply because it just seems like that game is close to ready that it will be released on time.....if HL2 was definitely coming out at the same time.....then probably HL2.....but Vietnam should be great with Helos and what not.

I will also say Battlefield: Vietnam. The hype surrounding HL2 and Doom3 is on graphics, not game play. BF:V is all about game play.

I'm sorry to have to add another title to this selection, but has anyone played the Far Cry demo yet? I doubt it'll come too close to any of the mentioned games, but it's engine is supposedly very advanced.

Fary Cry does look great graphically, atlhough there were some things in the demo that just didn't look quite right. I also understand the multiplayer isn't very spectacular.
BFV release shows as March 22nd, but from some things I've read recently we may see it before then. |

i voted for BF:V it looks a really cool game! i remember good old doom being one of the first FPS games around and how my dad would not let me play on it! but i think that both Doom 3 and HL2 will be thae same even tho that HL2 says that the better computer you have the better the graphics are!

i wish i could vote twice after playing the UT2k4 demo, UT2k4 will definately be 2nd choice. also it seems that UT2k4 and BF:V will be released at the same time or within a short period of each other i wonder which will be more popular....

I just played the Painkiller demo and it looks really cool. The only thing that I noticed is that there is no stealth involved, you're just basically thrown into a big level, and hundreds of zombies run at you all at once... might get a bit boring after a while.
