Are you running HL in D3D or OpenGL. My HL does that when I try to run it under D3D. OpenGL would be the way to go.

If thats not it, what video card do you have and which drivers are you using. Make sure they're the latest version.

It was openGL. But next to it there was the resolution setting, i changed it to 1024x768 and it was fine! I changed it back and was still working well. Wiered.
