ut04

Today I went to the local mall, and the EB game store we have, had ut04, and so I jump on it quickly came home. Played it for about an hour. But to me it looks a lot like ut03 with ALL the mods. The new arenas Onslaught looks cool as H. E. Double hockey sticks with the different maps. A buddy and me play CTF in ut03 alot and alot of the maps in ut04 we have already d/l. But from what I can tell it looks like it going to exciting game.

Read the review on BF & UT
gamespot.com gave:
UT04 :9.4/10
BF : 8.5/10

Ign.com
UT: 9.4/10
BF : 8.2/10

So UT is the better buy

Depens what kind of gamer you are, if you want all action killing the UT is the better for, realistic play and Tactics and plane/tanks/helo's to play with BF:V (i know UT2K4 has vehicles but i dont like the controls)
Personally im getting both

It's all based on opinion really. IGN has give bad reviews to games that I think are great and good reviews to terrible games. Play both the games and make your opinion based on that.

Oh well, hope a good patch comes soon.

To bb tomoorow to get ut2k4, if the demos that good, the game has to kick a$$

Is bf V is a stand alone or a expansion pack?
I see. I like killing, & I like it when its funny. The only FPS game besides CD, Halo is NOLF. When is the 3rd installment coming out?

BF is too slow for my taste. I prefer the action found in UT

The option to play Mp3's while playing BF:V is pretty cool. Listen to some Nine Inch Nails in 1969 Saigon .

Just got ut2004, and after a day plus of playing it, all I can say is "WOW."

First of all the game is absolutely huge. 100 maps sounds like a lot, but once you play it you realize how much it actually is. I don't know if it's even going to be possibleto learn all of them like I have with some FPS's.

Graphics are simply amazing. I have everything cranked to maximum settings, 4X AA and 4X AF on at 1024x768 and The game runs at about 60 fps with slowdowns to 15-20 or so in big battles. It still looks good with lesser settings, and the framerates are insane for something that looks so good.

The netplay disappointed me a little, I think there aren't that many good servers up and running yet since the game just came out. I will give it time, however.

All of this plus the game is only $40, $30 if you own ut2003, I would say definitely buy this game. I was going to buy BF:V as well, but I think this will keep me busy for quite awhile.
