Re: Stop 0x0000007f Error When Playing America's Army (or anything else?)

Here is a link that you will find useful. I bookmarked this llink from another thread here at PCMech.

Your error code "stop 0x0000007f" is listed in the colum on the left.

Stop 0x00000007f unexpected_kernel_mode_trap, is listed in the colum on the left. All you have to do is click on the link and it will take you to the page that tells you about the error.

Hmm

Yeah, I read that. I'm trying to track down a memory tester to check the RAM. That's the most likely cause but I don't know what to set it to.

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the game? And have you checked to see if the game is compatable with XP?

This might be a stupid question did you install the latest service packs and updates for XP.

Yeah all the latest updates\drivers are installed. Plus I used this video card on my previous system so I don't think its that. I tried bumping up the voltages and that didn't help either.

It only happens in that game? Always at a certain point? or is it random? Can you load anything else that's big... like photoshop or some editing program to see if things freeze up again? What is your SWAP file settings? Can you test with another power supply? I've never heard of Silenx. Try running just one stick and se if it still freezes up. Do you have it in Dual Channel mode? Good Luck!
