Far Cry is released and everybody loves it.

Far Cry is a first person shooter developed by a German team. I played the demo a while ago and it was amazing. Now the full version is released and it appears to have wone the favor of the biggest sites on the internet. If you look at reviews averages on gamerankings.com Far Cry Reviews You can see that it averages 91% which is unusually high.
I recommend each and everyone of you to try the demo at least.
I think the game does extremely good job at utilizing the jungle for tactics and battle. Unlike in other games, the jungle foilage actually works for hiding and sneaking, unlike in other games where no matter how much you try to hid you can still be seen. The shadows are amazing, there is a hanging lamp in the tunnel,a nd when you touch it, the lamp moves around and the shadow behind the lamp moves around as well.

Yes, Far Cry is one of the best games I've ever seen. Game only has 20 levels and like 6 cds. Now it will fully utilize my Radeon 9800 Pro. But I can't wait until Half-Life 2 comes out.

It comes on 6 CD's? I heard it takes about 20 hours to finish but I haven't heard about the 6 CD deal. Can anyone confirm this?

GameSpot says it's the best single player experience since Half-Life.

Another game added to my list too.

A lot of people around here are saying the Demo is trash, but the game is awesome...I am planning on getting it.

I certainly felt more awed playing this than i did when it came to half-life. I aint gonna spoil it for some poeple but hell, the rush of adrenaline you get when getting thru parts by the skin of your teeth is amazing. Crouching in the darkness on a windy hilltop, surveying the land in front of you for signs of life, tagging 'em and working the best approach to eliminate the threat is completely immersive.

Its hard to say, but half-life was left unfinished by me because the iffy space levels didnt float my boat. Far-Cry I am stuck on but it wont be for long

the graphics are amazing proberly the best iv seen in a game so far

I would have to agree with Jimmy White. The game is awesome. I am newbie gamer. Most games I play for about 2-3 hours then I am tired of that game for that day. But I got my copy yesterday and spent 9 hours on it. Plus 4 hours today. It is a strategic game at time, then sometimes it just best to do mindless fraggin’. I would give it three thumbs up.

with all that tiime, i am only in the tenth level. so to finish in 20 hours. a person would have to be a serious gamer.

I would also like to know how many cd's this game is on. I know it comes on a dvd too.

The demo was awesome, I can't wait for mid-terms to be over so I can spend hours at a time with this

Dswissmiss - my came with 6cd. not really sure on this but i think you may have gotten unreal 2004 se and farcry backwards. i know unreal 2004 special edition come wtih dvd that has behind the screen stuff and tuturiol on unrealEd. to help people make thier own maps. farcry comes with sandbox. so a gamer can make his/her own maps..

Wow, that kind of detail is definately worth upgrading for... I noticed many people complaining that the demo was too hard on system resources, and that they would fix it by the time the full version came out, is this true?

there is a multiplayer but due to the graphic engine you have to have settings on low and is only playable on 12 person servers
