In search of XBox games...

So I finally broke down and bought a console. I built a computer for gaming but decided to get a Xbox anyways.

My question is, what are some good games out for the XBox? I bought 007: Everything or Nothing and found it pretty fun.

But when I get online it disturbs me to see that most people find the best game to be Halo...Why, I ask? Is this the best XBox has to offer? I got it for pc and was not that impressed. I felt as though I was running in circles half the time.

I'm also noticing that most games that are highly anticipated are just ports from PC. Ex: Call of Duty, Farcry, Counterstrike...which I would rather have on my PC, cause the graphics will be better.

So does anyone have any suggestions of a game that is good, not a PC port, and for XBox.

Thanks...

Wolfenstein is good but only online, the single player sucks, rainbowsix is also good. Lots of games are about to comme out too. Counter-Strike for xbox was dissapointing though.

I think that X-box games in general are a disappointment. The only game i was really into on the X-box was Halo, so try that one.

Project Gotham Racing (both 1 and 2) are really good if you are into racing games.

Yeah, Halo was great and still great....my friend and I beat is 4 complete times, on each difficulty, and we've played other levels countless numbers of times, out of order....

Star Wars: KOTOR is a great game, but it's also been released for PC. I pretty much bought my XBOX just for KOTOR, before I knew it was going to be released for PC. I'm thinking of selling my XBOX now, and buying KOTOR for PC, there really aren't that many good games out for the XBOX.

I'm with you StickEGreenleaf, I found Halo unexciting in single player... but in multi-player, it really is awesome fun getting 16 ppl in on the action

NCAA Football (2003 or 2004 ~ each is good), ESPN Football is good as well, but Madden 2004 beats them all.

Halo is a great game. I enjoyed it the first time through, and I've also beaten many levels with friends through co-op. I've had Halo parties as well where we hook up boxes using Cat-5s and an old hub. (Tons of fun ~ most people I've ever had is 12...I had more people, just ran out of controllers). I also have xbox live, which is fun for football and Rainbow Six 3 because of the headset. Cant go wrong with the xbox, though you'll find pc games far better in some areas. You can't complain about sitting down with friends and talking trash with a good game.

The DOA Volleyball game is worth a rent. Very realistic.

I've read that Crimson Skies is pretty good for multiplayer and online. Also KOTOR is pretty decent. Enter the Matrix was horrible. Good luck.

My box is currently broken. Think when I switch out boxes would they swap the info my hard drive onto my new box? If not then 5 seasons of NCAA 2003 plus whole Halo game and more are goin down the drain....

I have an Xbox too. There are some games that I prefer to play on a console. I only have Splinter Cell and Midtown Madeness 3 right now but they are both great games. The sound is also so much better with true Dolby Digital on my home theater system than my PC. Xbox Live is also better than any online system I have seen on PC games. I prefer to play FPS games on PC with a mouse. I can't aim with a joystick.

Just takes a little practice to aim with joysticks, it is better with a mouse but there are some crazy good sooters on xbox live and they all use joysticks.

Well it was never untill today when it double posted. I think I jinxed myself by saying that. I only hit submit once and got a "page cannot be displayed" I closed the window and it double posted. Then I tried to edit the second one but it changed the first one and made the second one blank leaving my original question out. That was odd.

No, I just hit the submit button numerous times because it can be so slow sometimes. Sometimes I'll click it and nothing happens, so I click it again and it only posts once because it didn't like the way I originally clicked for some reason. Anyway, it doesn't hurt to over post somtimes.
