Unreal Tournament and Geforce problem

Is there some kind of bug associated with Geforce and older games? My old computer used to run Unreal Tournament flawlessly, but now with my Geforce 5200, it's all jittery. What can be the problem (i'm running xp home)?

What was your old video card and what are your system specs?

Is your windows and game legal?

Have you updated with all the patches for the game and your system?

yes, its all original stuff. I've done all the critical updates and my specs are : p4 2.8ghz, 512mb ddr, 80 gig, xp home sp1... even the newer games work fine, but for some reason my old Unreal Tournament won't

I don't know if this is the same in the original Unreal Tournament. But UT:2k3 had problems on computers that were useing a motherboard with a VIA chipset and nVidia cards. What chipset does your motherboard have?

There's a problem with Nvidia's latest Geforce drivers...they make some games do some very funky things. Try reverting back to the old 45.33 drivers. I found the link for you:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html

I had to revert back to these to make the Battlefield 1942 mod Desert Combat run correctly. The graphics were messing up and now they dont.
