help with PCMARK04 results.

I am hoping someone may be able to answer a few questions for me.

I have the system specified in my sig and in this link:

http://service.futuremark.com/servle...jectId=2310909

That is my PCmark04 score. It seems a bit low to me. I wanted to ask someone a few questions about it.

First I havent defraged my harddrive or updated my bios on my board. I also noticed I dont have the latest video drivers. I just built the computer a few days ago and am getting all the drivers and reliability issues (so far its rock solid) worked out before I reformat and install the latest drivers and attempt to overclock it.

Is there any other things I can do other than what I mentioned to speed up my PC for gaming etc? I have come across different Windows Xp "optimization" sites that claim to optimize windows XP to work faster by disabling different items etc. I have also read a bit of info on tweaktown.

Am I missing anything? The hard drive states its a SCSI. Am I running that to its capacity? I thought it was just a standard 7200 RPM drive. I do know it has only a 2mb cache will that effect my scores a lot?

Thanks for reading and hopefully someone will be able to give me some details.

I also did a comparison at this Link:
