Halo 2-November 9th

According to the Halo 2 multiplayer movie from E3, Bungie has announced that the official release date is November 9th. What do you guys think about it...I think this is the year we all expected last year.

Hmph, I'll believe it when I see it. Wonder if I'll need to upgrade?

I'd like to believe that date, but with all the delays we've seen in many different titles, it's hard to believe any of these potential release dates anymore.

Halo 2 seems like it is going to be a great ride. Why can't they just release it for the PC! Argh.

Oops...I misread it. Result of being stupid and doing too many things at once. I thought it said Half-Life 2, I just saw the H and 2 and figured it was half life. I'll believe the half life 2 release date when I see the game.

Played Halo 1 on PC, I don't know what the hype is all about. I'm more interested in Half Life 2 and Doom 3.

Yes I agree Fibre, I didnt think Halo for PC was anything special either, very over hyped.

good FPS on consoles are hard to come by, just because of the control isssue (medal of honour rising sun a case in point)
but halo seemed to make it easier to control, and the overall game is great, so on a console you can't get a better fps than halo, and i can't wait for halo2, but... on a pc, there are many FPS that are great as the control is not as much an issue with a mouse. although i think this whole mouse and controller thing is probably a bit of a big debate on some other forums.

I have to agree. I'm constantly arguing with hardcore console gamers the importance of a mouse, at the same time trying to make excuses as to why I just got my butt kicked in a game of SOCOM II. Us PC gamers are generally lost without a mouse and keyboard for FPS. Halo comming to PC was like a godsend for me. I don't do joypads too well with FPS's.

Good point, Killum.
I can use a gamepad/joystick on a console but it does take some practice to get the hang of the controls. Halo on XBOX was great, after I learned how to strafe shoot with ease.
