I just bought the ATI Xpert 2000 (AGP) 32MB for my pc (celeron II, 266MHz, 96MB RAM) and after I install it and boot the comp it just makes a series of beeps and the monitor doesnt show anything but the monitor light flashes, ive tries this many times, previously with a 3dfx Voodoo 3 (AGP) and a Voodoo 4 (AGP) and yes I have checked that the card is snug into the AGP slot, the computer came with the S3 Virge (PCI) and recognises this card everytime i put it back in. Since I have tried a few cards im sure this has to do with my system compatibility/AGP settings etc....OR do i install particular drivers BEFORE the hardware installation??.. any suggestions on how I can get get agp graphics for my system would be much appreciated.

thanks

If you're positive that the card is seated properly, there is either a problem with the AGP slot, the motherboard, or the video card itself.

Well, try the card in another machine. if it works there, its probably your agp settings, consult yoru motherboard manual.
if it doesnt work, then maybe you have a bad card. i had a bad geforce back in the day and sent it back to creative, and they sent me a new one after testing it.

Thumbs up

I jammed the card in some more afraid I would surely break something, but it worked! Thanks.
