Is my graphics card that lousy?! It got just 750 in 3Dmark03!
I saw others with Gforce Ti series and they have better results. Why? My graphics: Geforce Fx 5200 128mb -------------- WOW! didn't realise i posted so many thread! pls pardon me as i think i am lagging! Last edited by human1987; 05-21-2004 at 11:12 PM. |

That is a little low, even for the FX 5200. Most 5200s benchmark around 1500-2000 points in 3dMark03. Is the test running in default mode? 1024x768 and 32bit color. Check to make sure you dont have Anti Aliasing turned on.
Lastly, the Geforce FX 5200 is a very underpowered card. The same is true for most Geforce FX video cards. If you are looking for a budget card that plays games well, track down a Radeon 9600 (Pro or XT if you can afford them). The FX 5200 is lacking the processing power of these cards. It just doesnt stack up well in new games. The reason Geforce 4 Tis score better is because even though they are older generation technology, they have enough horsepower in their GPUs to push more frames then the 5200 can. Further proof that the FX series is lacking.
