A friend of mine and I are wanting to get together and play this game, but we can't get it synch'd up. I know we both have the same ver, but cant see each other to get a game going. Were both on SBC DSL, could it be something with it?

Are either of you two behind a router? I don't know the game specifically but one of you two will have to start a server/game and the other one will then have to find the other buddy's IP address and connect to it.

have you tried each of you hosting and the other connecting? Try it both ways it may save you. Also are you both on Win98? A router will not necessarily get in your way however a fire wall or NAT will. punch holes for the correct ports in both if necessary.

Specs show a firewall (NAT) on yours, Your friends is most likley similar.
Try to find a manual to help the the port settings.
