Rate my new card?

256, Saphire ATI 256mb 9800 pro
running on a system with 512mb ram, 900mhz Athlon with a score of 4523 marks - would you rate this as good?

oh and when its FPS, what is yardstick (ie the point just before it starts crawling)

Yardstick is when your eyes detect flickering or jerkiness. Can't assign this an exact number.

Discuss gaming benchmarks in the correct forum, please.

Thats good but seems alittle low for a 9800 Pro. I got 5700 stock and 6100 w/OC on 3dmark03, I assume this is what you are using. Make sure you are using the latest drivers.

Yeah, that's what I'm guessing. I could never get higher than 5300 3DMarks when my video card and system were overclocked way beyond what they're at now (3.32 GHz for the system and near-9800Pro levels for the video card).

I didnt think cpu made much a difference with 3dmark03, thought it was total vid card bench. 4523 is still a really good score though, i would be happy with that.

yardstick? what is that?
