Spray Cans
Are spray cans like insect repellent, etc., allowed on commercial airlines? Seems the pressure would cause them to rupture.

Technically, I'm not sure of the official answer to your question.
But I do know that I have brough insect repellant (the spray-can type, not the pump-spray type) on airplanes before and nothing seemed to have happened. mike |

Here is the list of prohibited and allowed items (PDF file, TSA website).
I think that insect repellant would fall under the "personal toiletries, aerosol in limited quantities" classification, so it woudl be allowed in your carry-on luggage. the airlines/security won't give you a hard time unless you are bringing a case of them.
