The Apple Experience.
I ordered an i-pod, an i-book, and some accessories about a week ago from apple. I was waiting for everything to ship patiently, and finally all but the i-pod had shipped as of Friday of last week. At first I was a bit miffed. This morning i found out to my pleasant surprise that my order had been changed due to the new i-pod coming out. Apple switched my order to the new 40 GB i-pod that cost the same as the old 20 GB i-pod. The new i-pod did not come with the same accessories as the old so apple is sending me the remote control headphones, and carrying case for the new i-pod for free. My experience with apple has been great. I have never seen a company that will upgrade your order like that. Kudo's to Apple.

My suppliers would do stuff like that all the time... The one that was the biggest shock to me was when I ordered 2x 18GB 7200RPM SCSI drives for a clients server... I placed the order and was called right back to be told they were outta stock on the 7200RPM models and asked if I would accept 10K RPM ones at no extra cost... sure.... well... the order was a few days later than it should have been and when I opened the box... the invoice apologized for no 10K RPM models being in stock, so they substituted 15K RPM models.

I think all of this is shocking because customerservice these days has gone down the tube. I can go to wal-mart, or JCpenny's and get blown off or harassed. Supplyers and online stores have taken advantage of this and have great customer support. At least the ones I have dealt with. It's sad when customerservice online is so much better than in person. Customer service will get you everywhere. If you make a person feel like you want there business, and you are kind and curtieous and go buy rule number 1; they will come back every time.

Tin, I fooled with an ibook not too long ago, although it died on me almost right off the bat, and I got hassled from the extended warranty company, all in all I'd say it was very user friendly. And this Ibook had a "main board" problem that has since been remedied, although mine was under the recall serial #'s. They're not too bad to work with though Tin, with some experimenting (but I never looked at OCing
). Hell I even got it networked with win XP and transferred several gig's of MP3's over before it died, was going to use it as a portable jukebox If you can get ahold of someone's dead ibook, it's worth a small fortune in parts! The Ibook I had was given to me free, and I sank ~$200 into mine before parting it out, those parts sell like hotcakes on eBay, just passed the $550 mark on the parts, lmao!**can you OC a MAC???

You just gotta love what Steve Jobs is doing with the company
. Through more than 8 years of Apple Macintosh Systems, I've been more than satisfied than I ever was with this Toshiba Laptop. Their support is just awesome, and I have always been ever more than satisfied...kept me on Macintosh OS until Technology on there forced me to switch to Windows...yet I still use Macintosh when I can .kram

Man, you lucky sod, i love the look of the new ipod, it has the same click wheel as the ipod mini, far superior to the 4 button setup of the 3rd gen ipod. Have fun with them, the ibook is pretty fast now it has a G4 processor, just watch out for dirty hands, it's tough getting the white palm rests clean if you let it go for a while, clean it often and it'll stay new looking.
