Satellite radio, tv, cell phones, prices

I have noticed something that kinda made me mad. I am an independent dealer of XM satellite radio and was surprised that the service is so cheap. This thing is on satellite and I thought that for users it would be a lot higher but its really not, but yet TV satellite signals and broadband are so high, is the technology so different that it costs a lot more or are we being taken. Also, if you can carry a radio channel on satellite and as good a quality as it is and charge so little why aren't wireless phone so simple. I'm probably missing something like transmitting individual signals for each cell phone number but isn't it time that kind of stuff changed. It's time cell companies stop charging for minutes and just start making it a flat rate like local phone service. I have an idea too. If you can do satellite radio, why not satellite CB. It would be cool to have a CB transmission with out the static. Now if I have any developers read this, I don't expect to be paid for the idea since you can just take it from here but my name is Robert Hamblen. Any way, thats my grip.
