Life SUCKS right now

I cut my finger so deep blood squirted on the ceiling. This is the deepest I've ever been cut. Then I washed my backpack. Then I realized my iPod was in my backpack. Now, my iPod doesn't even turn on.

I hate hidden comparments in backpacks. I hate life right now.

Sorry to hear about your finger sleepy, and about your accident lil Jimmy. It only takes a second for things to happen. I was at work Jan 7 2003 and I was cutting pork on a meat cutting bandsaw when my hand slipped and my right pinky went into the blade. It all started whenI had a Dr appt in the morning, and I was back to work only an hour before this happened. I do and did, at the time, have a healthy respect for bandsaws because I have one and know what they are capable of. Anyway, I cut my right pinky fron the tip to the secong knuckle and down to the bone. Although It didn't hurt, as you would think it would, I did feel it cut. Actually I am very lucky as I still have my finger although I can't bend it. I am still very thankful I still have it.

Ipods can be replaced. Fingers can't. Thank your lucky stars that you still have your finger, and go get a new Ipod and cheer up.

Call Apple and see what they can do about the iPod - I'm sure they will do something about it. Their customer support is actually pretty decent. Good thing your finger wasn't cut too terribly bad beyond healing - seems like you've gone pretty deep if you've seen it squirt to the ceiling. Hope it heals soon.

well thanks guys. I am of course in a better mood since time heals all wounds eventually. My finger actually may not be with me too much longer unless I go see a doctor real soon. It has turned extremely pale and kinda reeks.

But as for my iPod, I am going to have best buy replace it since i bought the expensive 4 year warranty on it. Although it doesn't cover "condensation", it does cover it if it simply stops working, and since i am not loaded and since best buy is, I think i am going to attempt a return. I dont feel too bad about it since they have stolen plenty of my money in the past.

thanks for the support

Of course, if that doesn't work, and if you're a student, Apple has the 20GB iPod for 269 USD on their CramandJam program...my sister entering UofM just bought one off of Apple.

I almost got a $70 and a towing... and I got 4 hours of sleep, and I drove around the airport and back to town twice over a 3 hour time period, and school is starting soon, and... wait... what am I talking about... I guess I am still happy at the moment, but as soon as that anvil drops on me I will be sure to post

Hope the finger heals, iPod too, glad no one was hurt lil Jimmie.

EDIT:Almost getting shot? Now that would be a story to tell...

Sorry to hear about your finger and ipod sleepy.

If it makes you feel any better i fell down some stairs and messed up my arm a bit. Wet sneakers + Stairs that have metal caps on the edge of each step definatly dont mix.

If you finger is that bad definatly go to a doctor/hospital real quick. You may have lost your ipod...dont loose your finger.

Well the iPod may not necessarily be bad. You can use it as an excuse to get the iRiver H120. For a few bucks more than the iPod, you get better and more features (better looking I may add). Plus, it's like having a FAT32 HD.

Normally, I wouldn't go to the doc if I got my fingers injured. I'd just bathe it with neosporin, patch it up with some Winnie the Pooh Band-aid, and fight infection from the inside by drinking beer. However, it's usually a bad sign if it starting to smell.

As a Registered Nurse working mainly Critical Care, sleepypost, you hit an artery! Get to the ER NOW!! For heavens sake dude, you are literally minutes away from permanently loosing you finger. At the very least, you may well spend some VERY serious time in the hospital on IV antibiotics. GO! thorlo6

I believe that we have had a similar discussion here in the past - and this attitude was not welcome then, and is not now. You have our sympathy for what has happened, don't get me wrong, but let's not go where you are going. GO take care of your finger and forget about the Ipod for now.
