wreck update
To fill everyone in on the car wreck, my wife had to get 5 staples to close a 1 1 /4' cut on her head, me and my daughter are just banged up and sore, but very thankful to be alive and kicking. The guy who ran the red light was fine as well as his 3/4 ton chevy truck. My wife's Concord however has plenty of damage to the front left clip, hood and bumper. I don't know what the condition on the engine compartment is in because I will not open the hood till the adjuster has seen the car.
My wife was driving and started to accelerate through the intersection when I seen the truck out of my left eye running the red light. I blurted out for my wife to watch it and she just happened to hit the brakes. If she had not reacted and hit the brakes for that split second the truck would have hit her in the door. The guy was ticketed for running the light as well as reckless driving and speeding. There were plenty of witnesses that made statements to the police that the pickup ran the red light. Computers, Ipods and cars are meaningless without life.

Jimmie, I am so glad to hear that. Like you said, if she hadn't hit her brakes, I don't even want to go there. I'll be praying for all to have a quick recovery.

Yikes...glad to hear you're ok. Hope your wife isn't hurt badly...seems like that big cut is pretty dangerous.

Thanks for the well wishes guys! I've been real concerned about my wife and although it may seem like a minor cut, head injuries from side impact collisions can be very serious. I've been in few wrecks in race cars with roll cages, five point harness restraints, full-faced helmets with neck braces and have been pretty jacked-up myself, so yeah I'm keeping a close eye on her.
