I was just eyeing the same monitor at Best Buy the other day. The picture was very nice and it looks like a great monitor to me. Samsung makes good monitors.

ok, just got back from Best Buy. The Display model of this monitor looked like crap to me. I passed on site. I went with a 19th viewsonic that with the same video feed was blowing it away.
Be me when I say I tried all the settings on the samsung to try to get the same. The Viewsonic cost more but with the picture I saw, I could not bring myself to by the samsung. Maybe the display model was old but It did not look good when compared to the others. The viewsonic was in the line of LCDs in quality I felt. The View sonic also had the ultra Bright feature you can turn on. when I was looking at the samsung, i turned the ultra bright off on the viewsonic and they still did not compare. |

Actually, the Samsung is quite bright IMO...the cable feed they were getting is pretty dark to start out with. I choose the Samsung over the Viewsonic because of the DPI - lowest I saw on the rack. But then again - I guess it all comes down to personal preference - Viewsonic is a very quality manufacturer so happy gaming there
