Status report
after extensive testing and tweaking, ive finally made it over the 2600MHz mark. now shes up and running at 250 x 10.5 on 1.9V. this is a very cool running chip, even at 1.9V, im idling at 39C. under load it gets pretty hot, about 53C, but its rock stable. next on my agenda, my stock 1800+ heatsink will be cut into mosfet chipsinks, a NB sink, and a SB sink...cant let all of that heatsink go to waste now can i? i also plan on purchasing a BIOS Saviour, im pretty sure my BIOS is keeping me from the 260 or better. DFI motherboards are weird, one BIOS will work for one guy, but wont for the next guy, even if he has the exact same configuration as the other guy. this is only my 2nd beta flash on this motherboard, but once i get a Saviour, ill be able to play without having "the fear". here are my new numbers . next step....2.0V, mobo cooling, and a new BIOS.
