excellent read pam. my dad told me about how the RIAA were digging themselves into a hole as well. he was as record producer for a while and he told me technology would bury the RIAA.

I've been saying this from day one that the RIAA wasn't embracing technology but trying to fight it, but one word of caution they (RIAA) are trying to pass bills in the Congress that would put restrictions on hardware/software. Getting back on track, I think their biggest mistake was going after individuals, what better way to get a positive reaction than to sue people <- Notice the Sarcaism.
