Songs for an english project

hey guys

since school started, i've already gotten so much homework/quizzes (okay only 2 i think)/ and uhm projects and or essays from my classes. anyways, i have this one project for english. We got to pick from a choice of options, so i picked the first option. I have to either "visually" describe my own interpretation of heaven either digitally, uhm artistic ( like posters or something), or musically. I decided on musically though. So what my teacher said we could do musically was that we could make a cd of songs that included singer's own interpretations of heaven. So basically, my question is, do you guys know any songs that relate to this? I've look some songs up that talked about heaven, but i noticed that these songs just talked about love and like "heaven is a place on earth." haha...yeah if you have any suggestions let me know.

Anyways, this relates to the summer reading we had. We had to read the book, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold if anyone read it.
Yep...so any suggestions or questions let me know!

haha also, i've noticed that people tend to ask for homework help on here, so i decided to try.

Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd - Not for the words so much as for the music. The song calms me, and puts my mind at ease.

So, do you have to own these songs, or is your teacher promoting music piracy.

Eiffel 65- Too much Heaven
Warrant- Heaven isn't too far Away

And there's some other song that I can't remember the name of that goes "ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth? You make heaven into a place on earth." Popular song for AMVs.

Personally, I think you should look into Bruddah IZ's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". There is something about that jolly Hawaiian fat man that *defines* heaven for me....

(I am being funny, but I do think you should look into the song for your project)

. . . I rather think the idea of writing your own song is a fine one. Why not? [might check to see if you'd have to perform the darn thing in front of everyone, though - that could be rather less-than-heavenly]
