Apple iMac...G5!

Hey,

Just been loooking around several Apple computers...I saw that after Apple made a blunderous move at abruptly halting productions to the Apple iMacG4, they came out with the succesor...named most unsurprisingly Apple iMacG5 after the powerful G5 processors that were placed on the PowerMac platform.

Seen it? It's small...nothing like the PowerMac G5. See for yourself : http://www.apple.com/imac/

A lot of folks are saying it reminds them of an iPod's Bigger Sibling.

I think they look pretty darn nice. 17" screens this time, too.

There is already a thread on this topic HERE. I do like the looks of it though. Macs just don't fit my needs.

It looks too much like the e-mac from the front for my liking, and i despise the way apple have crippled the G5 in the imac by limiting the FSB to 2/3 of it's full potential. Wouldn't buy one just for this reason. The 1.6 should operate at 800mhz FSB and it's been paired down to 533, the 1.8gzh FSB should be 900mhz not 600mhz. Disgusting if you ask me, just ripping off buyers that don't know any better.

That I do agree with but if the Power of the G5 is limited as much as OEM Guy mentioned, one may think twice...
