Constantly amazed by idiots

I am sitting here watching the local news and they did a segment about the high water in town (we had really heavy rains today). They are showing these people who tried to drive through high water and got stuck. They interviewed this one guy who tried driving through 18" of water and was surprised his 300z stalled and broke down (it sits maybe 4" off the ground). Now I will admit I am the adventurous type, but what ever happened to common sense?

LOL I always have fun laughing at people like that. A couple weeks ago there was heavy rain around here and it caused some significant flooding in Seattle. Someone in a BMW, about 5 inches off the ground, tried to drive through 3 feet of water and he was mad that his car stopped running and the interior filled with water. That wasn't the only case of deep water stupidity but it was the funniest. I have noticed that most people that get stuck are driving very expensive cars. I even saw a Ferrari one time.

LOL...true, true.

You know what's sad...these people usually think very highly of themselves and think they're doing the world a favor when they pass on their genes.

The H2 can drive through up to 20" of water even though its only 9.5" off the ground.

That's because the Hummer is, well it used to be anyways, a military vehicle, so it has to be able to operate in a variety of extreme weather conditions.

Friend tried driving a Chrysler minivan through a flooded area a few years ago - well, the air intake on those is down low up front. It sucked up water and hydrolocked the engine, which threw a couple rods. If you are even going to attempt to drive through standing water, you better be aware where your air intake is located.
