i had a problem with those flash adds , the one that zoom up and down on the computer, they indicated they were macromedia flash and popup blocker of mozilla wouldnt stop them--- i found the un-installer for macromedia flash-
http://www.softpedia.com/images/logo.jpg --if you dont need flash this stops the annoying flashing things from popping up.

I've made it a point not to install flash on Mozilla; given the wonderful uses that flash has been put to (by my count: mostly for annoyance than for utilitarian value), I'd rather see a plugin missing logo than an annoyance.
If I encounter a site that specifically needs to use Flash I do have ye olde IE sitting on the computer. |

Under SP2 IE now allows add-ons (like flash) to be turned on and off under tools/manage add-ons. They got something right.

That's why I use MIE2 which has a flash ad blocking feature that acutally works.

One can also install the FlashBlock extension for Mozilla to eliminate the problem, but still allow you to easily utilize flash cartoons and games when you want to. I don't think it will stop popups, but it works for the flash banner ads.
