FYI, if you are in FL, your DSL is probably Not working right now

I am at work, we are taking calls from people in FL complaining that the DSL is not working. We have DSLAMs underwater in many areas.

I can't believe this, we are actually having to tell people in FL the reason their DSL is not working is because a Hurricane just passed though. These people are calling in from cell phones because their Land Phones are not working, complaining that since the DSL is not working they are going to cancel.

Cool

And I'm sure that all of them wanted to know when it is going to be fixed? That used to annoy me more than anything else. If I could fortell the future I would travel state to state buying lottery tickets and going to the track.

If I lived in Florida and the only thing that was wrong was my DSL not working I think I would be Thankful that this was the only problem I had. I could imagine these people in the 1800's and having to read a book at night with a candle.
