Smile Job transferring......

well, very quick notice on this one. the credit union i work for has recently merged with another one, so we have 2 offices now. today, i was notified that i will be working there from now on starting tomorrow. not bad at all, but the downside is i have to drive almost 45 minutes.....alot longer in rush hour traffic . im used to having a 10 minute drive to work, with lighter traffic. its in a decent area, so im considering moving out that way. the best thing is, the network admin at the main branch is going to show me how to run it at the new branch . i dont usually like talking computers around some people, because then you have to start explaining things to them for a little while . well, i got myself into it c ouple weeks back, and the CEO was telling me about the merge. after talking computers with him for a few, he told me hes going to have the network admin show me how to maintain it. now im pretty new to networking, i just set up my first home network a couple weeks ago lol. i picked up on building computers fairly quick, i couldnt tell you very much about anything before a Slot A 600 . so im hoping networking clicks with me quick like building systems does. im hoping this works out, im tired of telling people that they have bad credit everyday .

You are going to have to curb your normal thought process if you do this - the LAST thing you want to do with networks is start overclocking and tweaking stuff!

LOL -- You can tweak networks, but I think they might frown on overclocking as well.

LOL . as much as id love to put some juice to those servers.....i cant do it lol. hard drive corruption on a server that stores peoples financial info can be hell....dont even want to think about it. i think this will be pretty good. the worst thing, is i underestimated the time it would take to get to work. i wasnt late, but it took me an hour . took an hour for the ride home too. once this gets going a little bit im going to move closer to my new workplace.
