Send a message via MSN to Hi Ho
Smile Just something I found amussing

I had to call AT&T tech support several times today when helping a friend that can't connect to the internet (see Networking forum ) Anyway, the automated system cracked me up. After pressing 1 for technical support and so on it told me to "press 2 if you CANNOT connect to the internet". Well, I did that and before it connected me to a real person it spent about two minutes giving me suggestions on support websites I could visit "if you can connect". Did I not just tell it that I CAN'T connect to the internet? Do they listen to their own messages? I'm not mad. I did talk to real people and they were knowledgable. I just found it amussing.

Or, maybe they assume you can access the internet from ANOTHER location/connection. Then again it's AT&T we're talking about, so it's probably coincidence there's a logical explanation for their actions
