Hi...I was wondering what your guys opinion is of deleting duplicate files, using such programs as Easy Cleaner? A friend told me that it may not be safe, because you could delete a file with the same name that was an important file. I am not sure he based that on anything but his own thought.
I would like to get rid of my duplicates.. What do you think? Thank you.. ![]() Anyone????? Last edited by KC1213; 09-10-2004 at 05:16 PM. |

What will happen is that any file with the name will get zapped and you won't know what was in it.
When I had to clean-up my ITunes folder after a repair install some files were duds and the only way to tell was to do the reinstall/uninstall manually. Basic rule, if you ain't sure do it one file at a time and, only after you've checked, can you uninstall it. So, if you're in doubt, no Easy Cleaner.
