I just had a local shop give me 210 in credit for my old NES/Super Nes/Sega 16 systems and a bunch of role playing books and box sets. I told them I want a x-box, which they did not have in stock right now, but said I will be getting the next one they get in used. The reason I want an X-box is for the graphics, I think they have the best out of the 3, Eldar Scrolls 3-Morrowind game, and then NASCAR 2005 (I've played it and think it's awsome!). But here's the clincher, what do I need to look for in getting the used system? I know the first ones had alot of bugs (typical MS), but are the later ones pretty reliable? I know that Morrowind and a few other games were really buggy also, so would the platinum editions be fixed? I'm asking you here at PC Mech, because you seem to give very honest reponse (can you hear the large sucking sound coming from my direction? :->). Anyhow, just want to make sure I get everything I can out of a used X-box.

If the used unit is factory refurbished it should come with a factory warranty. if it is just from someone who traded it in I would be wary.

If you have $210 in store credit why not get a brand new Xbox? They are $149 right now.

Buy a modified one with a big hard drive, mod chip, backed up games, a replacement OS and USB ports.

umm the used ones have bugs that let you softmod them
but seriously, elder scrolls3 isnt worth getting on the XBOX wayy too buggy. its much better for the PC. the ones you should be getting xbox for are: HALO, HALO2, Fable, Doom3, ones that really take advantage of the XBOX graphhics engine.
