Have you ever seen a Plasma screen blow up????
I work at Best Buy. It's not as bad as I thought it'd be. Anyway, I'm in the Home Theater department. Well, it was about 7:30 on Sunday night, we were already closed, and all of a sudden the register in our department started freakin' out. The monitor was blinking on and off, it was beeping and the paper for the receipt was spitting out all the paper. I thought it was possesed, so I turned it off. Right when I did that, the Panasonic 50 inch plasma monitor started flickering, then billowing bluish-white smoke from the top!!! It was AWSOME!! I ran over, turned it off, then grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the flames on the top.
It turned out, that a molex connetor on the outlet had been improperly plugged in, and a short occured. The way that the molex connector was plugged in didn't allow the breaker to flip, so it sent about 300 volts down the line. The computer was the last in line, but it had a good surge protector on it. The plasma didn't have one, so when we turned off the computer, the plasma got fried. It was really cool. I wouldn't want that to happen to one that I owned, but I figure Best Buy can afford to lose one now and again. |

Wait 2 or three years and do it again, wear gloves and a mask so noone can track you. Or get a loan from a bank and buy some cheap 20" plamsa's sell tickets to it. Also blow up other computer parts too. I'd pay to see that LOL.
