Suggestions on digital cam
So I'm about ready to get a digital camera. I'd rather not break $400. I want something with 5 megapixels, decent zoom, reasonably easy functions, and low lag. I'd like to have control over the shutter speeds, and other nice functions like a lit LCD screen and pretty good video capabilites. I've been looking at the Sony DSC-W1. I've read some great reviews on it, but my only problem is the memory stick. That's something I could live with, but let me know if there's something better out therem or if this one I'm looking at stinks. Thanks!
Also, what are some accersories I should get, and what do most cameras come with? Last edited by roomwithamoose; 09-19-2004 at 02:11 AM. Reason: forgot somthing |

I would suggest the FujiFilm FinePix S7000
I know it is over the $400.00 mark, but I am sure you will be happy with the purchase. If not you may want to consider the FinePix S5000 THe down side to the 2 above is that they only come with 16MB (XD card) of memory, but you can always get more. Most cameras come with batteries, strap, lens cover, memory, video cable. Some of the accesories you may want to get: * Rechargeable batteries and charger * AC adapter, so when you are transfering the pictures you don't drain the batteries power. * Case to keep it dust free * LCD protector * UV filter (the 2 cameras above come with lens/filter adapter). * Case for your memory * If you travel and carry a notebook you may want to get the (Fujifilm) usb pen card reader. |
