Google's Dictionary
I saw it posted here (Hal??) whereby you can type a word in Google's Search with some characters and get immediate definition of a word. Anyone remember?

to get the definition of a word, like beer just type
define beer I don't know if there is another shortcut that you are talking about.

I use it all the time to check my spelling, I type: define someword

Same principal really, but I use dict. Simply go up to the address bar and type dict (word you want looked up). Nice and simple.
