Newegg isnt working?!

Im using mozzila firefox and I tried to get to newegg but it just kept loading and it had a blank page. Then when I clicked on a different tab and back to the newegg tab it said waiting for newegg.com on the bottom but there was nothing in the webaddress bar on top!. I did this a few times and nothing happened. Then to see if it was just newegg or if it was the browser I went to comics.com and the same thing happened. Then a minute later I went to pcmech and hardforum.com and they both worked but neweg still wasnt. I think that maybe during that time the internet wasnt working so anything i typed wouldnt work and then the things I typed wouldnt work at all. I dont know why though, this si really weird...

Edit: I just went on the netscape browser and went to newegg and comics.com and comics .com worked but newegg didnt. so I went on mozilla again and comics.com worked on it this time so now I dont have a problaem but newegg still wont work!

It seems they've been down for about 5 hours, now. That's a ton of down time for such a popular web-only company.

Maybe they are trying to get an RMA on some IBM deathstars.

edit:

Add the following to your HOSTS file:

65.119.30.139 newegg.com
65.119.30.139 www.newegg.com

or use:

secure.newegg.com

try this guys!

http://secure.newegg.com/

just throw secure in front of anything and you will be able to see everything. Now buying something might be a problem

Must be a IP change - and it's taking time for the DNS to repropagate.

Its back! About time.

EDIT: I can get to the home page but theres still alot I cant acces. For example, I can get to the page where you list the specs you want for a case but I cant get anything when I hit search; I can get to the page where you pick the cpu specs but dont get anywhere when i hit AMD; and I cant get anywhere when I click a link on the homepage to a WD hdd. Are they still partially down? How long does it take to fix these things?
EDIT2: Now it's totally down again. Whats going on??!! How can a big site like newegg afford to be down for this long?

They can't afford to be down like this, which is why I'm guessing its an outside source that is to blame. It could be their site host, if they aren't hosting it themselves. If its someone(s) internal, I'm sure they don't have a job anymore.

Have and order in and wanted to find out if shipped yet, and have been unable to all day long access their site.

As an alternative, if you need to purchase Computer Hardware right this instant, take a visit to ZipZoomFly.

Well I just tried to order a pair of headphones from Newegg and it didn't seem to work. After filling out my credit card info I clicked submit and got a "page cannot be displayed". Nothing shows up in my current orders so I guess it didn't go through. Now I wish I had ordered it on Sunday like I was planning too.

It's working fine for me. I tried ordering again last night and it worked. I think they have solved the problem.
