I've done my share of camping out floating rivers, sleeping on the ground without a tent.
Today my idea of roughing it is a motel room with a black and white TV. Chas

looks like a typical field-day set up to me.
in the world of amature radio we have a field day once a year, where you take you ham radio station to a remote location and not useing any public utilites at all, you run your station for 24 hrs steady making all the contacts you can, its pourpose is to simulate a emergency situtation and profency of operation under less deseriable conditions. I have done this for a great many years and it is a family afaire too, lots of fun |
