another hotmail storage update

thougt id share this with those who have hotmail but havnt been upgraded to 250 mb yet. Today they sent me an email reading

"Big News: Free Storage increase to 250MB
FREE 250MB of storage capacity is coming to your MSN Hotmail e-mail account. We are increasing your online storage to 250MB—that’s over 100 times the storage you have now.

That’s not all we are also increasing your attachment size from 1MB to 10MB! This means that you can send and receive more messages without worrying about available storage space. You’ll be able to see party photos, hear new songs and watch video clips that your friends e-mail to you.

You may already have your increased storage—look for this upgrade to your account, between now and the end of November."

So I'm assuming if u havnt gotten ur upgrade yet, you will by end of the month.

After reading this post I checked my hotmail account and I now show to have 2000mb of storage. I thought the increase was only going to be to 250mb?

BTW I got the same e-mail last week

As far as I know I don't have a premium account, but if I do I want to send out a THX! to whoever is paying for it.

I have 2GB as well. I guess that's what I get with MSN Premium as my ISP. What the heck am I going to do with 2GB of email storage?

My guess is so that you don't have to delete as much, keeping more emails for reference. I don't email much and only fill up about 300MB on my local drive (read: POP 3) in about 6 months. That's when I do a backup to CD, clean it out, and start over. At work, they cap off email at 1GB, or 1.5GB (I can't remember which) and I can fill that up fairly quickly, but a lot of reports and the like are included.
