Can you record live video on ur monitor?

is there a program or app that makes it so you can record basically whats showing on your monitor and playing to your speakers. Sort of like making a recording of your computer video / sound activity?

hmmm... good question. I know you can take snapshots of your screen... don't know about video feeds. You can also record or register key strokes- key stroke monitors and other various "security" software will record whats "typed".

In order to do volume though you need a recording device. Nothing in your case or monitor will do it (unless you have a built in mic in your monitor). So you need some type of mic or recorder to do audio...

Video though- haven't heard about it, but I don't hear much.

What do you want to record exactly?

Camtasia Studios can do that, I don't know if it included sound or not. It didn't always record video from video sources playing to the monitor though - ie it wouldn't record what was playing on windows media player, but it could record some other sources.
