Google is trying out a new feature called Google Suggest. Google's new tool basically “guesses” what you might be searching for by offering up suggestions as you type in a search term. So far it is pretty cool, typing in “shi” got the expected results (I'm easily amused).

As you type into the search box, Google Suggest guesses what you're typing and offers suggestions in real time. This is similar to Google's "Did you mean?" feature that offers alternative spellings for your query after you search, except that it works in real time. For example, if you type "bass," Google Suggest might offer a list of refinements that include "bass fishing" or "bass guitar."

IMHO, this can be quite a useful feature.

they don't pull punches on themselves either. I too am easily amused and I typed in "google su" and had an expected result.

all fun aside, I don't dislike google. actually love the site.
