Newegg.

I know we have recently had some mixed feeling when it comes to newegg.com. A few order issues have floated across the board here. I even posted a case where I got a used refurb item instead of the new item I had order, which Newegg did make good on it.

Anyways, today, about 3pm eastern, I placed an order for a couple USB 2.0 cards and I already have a shipping number with an estimate delievery this Friday, not bad for the express saver..

I did not pay the extra for rush processing.

When you do a RMA, do they send you a new item or a refurb?

Yeah, they were swamped for the holidays but I've ordered twice since then and both were on time (just had delays in actually posting that they had shipped the item, but they were shipped on time).

Yeah, that's one thing I'll give Newegg credit for, they do have excellent speed when it comes to processing and shipping your order. I remember when I built my brother's computer the order got here about 3 days earlier than they projected. I was amazed to say the least. Planning on building him another system pretty soon I think(and I get his old one ), so I guess I'll see how they do the second time around.

Ordered from them Sunday and got my RAM today. From New Jersey to Baltimore through that huge snowstorm. Not too shabby.

Ordered a customer monitor on Saturday (off business day). They are, as you know located in CA, the LCD shipped from TN. It arrived at 10 AM this morning. Which means they must have sent it out first thing Monday morning, as soon as they got the order. Aside from an ordering problem, in Dec, concerning thier secure site being down a few hours (which they went out the way to fix, and when failing, took my order over the phone) I have never had a problem they didn't fix ASAP.

I am sure most people agree, any one will have an issue eventually. Newegg is far and away your best choice for ordering parts, you'll need thier customer service eventually, and it's nice to know they try, unlike most in all walks of life.

EDIT: oops I meant TN, not KY

Never had an issue with newegg, or FedEX. They always delivered a day early. Depending on what I ordered, it came from California, Tenessee, or New Jersey. I placed an order on Monday, and is scheduled for delivery Friday. But like I mentioned with FedEX, it should be here Thursday. Newegg and FedEX get my vote for top noth service. And with 2 RMA's to newegg for a motherboard. They were very fast and didn't ask any questions, except for the standard questions they ask when you request an RMA.

Newegg is awesome. Fedex on the other hand blows for customer service. They will try to deliver 3 times... 12 12 and yup you guessed it 12 they have done this to me several times. No they wont drop it by the front door on the porch only on the steeps in the back where its raining. I still send Fedex because its cheep but if I really want something there in 1 piece its not getting near a Fedex truck. DHL (Airborne) or UPS for me.

For me, I dislike UPS and Fedex does fine for me.

Funny that is how Service is, One person has great lucky with a company while someone has horrible service.

DSL works great for some, and sucks for others. Same with Cable.

Any service profession has people that both love and hate them. The Trick is in having a balance where more like you then hate you.

I don't mean to divert the thread but FedEx is awesome with me. UPS always dings up everything. I've seen UPS ppl throw things around. FedEx is great. Long live the king.

They all throw things around. My uncle works for DHL. You know those boxes with "FRAGILE" on them? Yeah, no extra care taken whatsoever.

Memphis TN.

I took dislike having to pay 9.5 percent sales tax on internet orders, but Newegg is reliable for me, so I guess it is ok.

Newegg themselves really does not have a Tennessee presence. The stuff comes from Ingram's warehouse in Millington, Tn.

Cool

Haven't bought from Newegg for over 4 months. Not because I don't want to but because they cain't get their data base straighten out. I moved in October of last year and tried to place a order after making change of address changes.

I loaded up the cart, went to check out and get a message that my billing and shipping addresses don't match. On the screen they are identical. Spent 3 days with customer support with their best suggestion to go ahead and place the order. Then call back and verbally issue a shipping address. I wasn't comfortable with that resolution so wound up spending my money elsewhere.

I ordered a monitor and wireless PCMCIA card on Tuesday morning. Newegg said it was supposed to arrive today. Well, I got them both yesterday, even though one came from CA and the other came from TN. Getting items from across the country literally 48 hours after ordering them is amazing to me.

I ordered from Newegg a few months ago and recently went to order from them again. I entered what I thought was my name and password...no good. So I went to the "forgot password?" option. I then realized the old email address, where they would send my forgotten password, I gave them was closed.

Newegg insists on setting up an account...there is no option for bypassing this requirement.

So Monarch Computer Systems got my business instead.
