Arrrg... pages taking forever to load!!

What a pain!... pages on PCMECH are taking up to two minutes to load! Not the fault of the PCMECH server though, did a trace route and it appears to be the last hop right before PCMECH, so all the other sites I go to work fine.

Yup... seems OK here now. From about 5:00 yesterday on it was horrible, now it's smoking along great.

Just did a trace route this morning, yup, same router as you Dok... I couldn't even get a response from it last night. The trace route would time out on it.

Tried last night about 10 CST, and couldn't anything load, glad to hear it's working again.

It wasn't the router. It was the Rydium ads. They were having major network problems last night and early this morning, and the way they have the ad code, this site is very tied into that. They have sent me new IFRAME code to make things more independent, but I noticed it was having problems, too. I need to fix it.

Last week, I think, Rydium got a Denial of Service attack, and it did the same thing.

My access to PCMech was slow for about 5 days. But now it's normal again

Not necessarily. But, if its that or the site not loading, I choose iframes.

We'll see how it goes. Apparently it was another DOS attack on some major backbones last night that caused the slowdown.

That's what I was kinda wondering. Seems that there has been a lot of that going on lately.

Pac Bell Telephone was down Thursday/Friday. Most Pac Bell ATM's and Internet connections failed in California. Stuff happens.
