The tax stuff is ridiculous. I'm all for responsible and proper use of tax revenues, but those ideas are a bit ludicrous. The stuff that gets me though is rubbing the deaths of soldiers in their families/friends/etc. faces. I'm not debating whether or not the US occupation of Iraq is warranted, but if you're against a war, or any other government action, by all means, protest. However, there is a line which you don't cross, and I believe that mocking the deaths of soldiers is over that line, no matter what your position on the war is.

I don't support the war in Iraq in the slightest, nor almost all of our excessive overseas military operations. However, that is an issue of politics. This is not.
Lothe though I am to admit it, we DO need a military, and if our troops are not reasonable compensated, then probably both the size and quality of our military would decline. Already our national military relies extremely heavily on states' national guard troops. Furthermore, as a very hazardous line of work in general, I feel it is not only justified but in fact quite right to provide soldiers with the best of medical benefits, and, should the worst happen, a funeral. It is possible to oppose the war without opposing our troops. |

Its not just our current troops. He wants to take away benifits for veterans too. I mean how can someone say that. If it werent for the military half of us would be german and the other half japanese. I'm getting mad again even looking at this post. And this is by no means political. I have my own views. I am a liberal leaning moderate, but this guy makes me sick.

If this is not some kind of a sick joke, I hope that the site's author and all those who agree with him/her "chose" to die in a humiliating, painful, and ultimately degrading fashion. There are many countries in which military service is mandatory. Our economy allows us to avoid this by using taxpayer contributions to offer incentives to join the military. I don't think that any of our soldiers can ever be considered selfish. I highly doubt that there are young men and women who serve their country for the sole purpose of collecting benefits. To be selfish is to care for one's self. A selfish person will not choose a path in which their bodily integrity and their life is placed at risk.
I normally don't get involved in discussing the ongoing operations in Iraq, but the website mentioned above is too heinous for me to maintain my calm. A soldier serves to protect and serve their country usually without question in the way those higher in the chain of command see fit. Out soldiers place their lives and their bodies in harm's way knowing and trusting that their country will protect and serve them in return whatever may happen. To mock this is unbelievably un-American and an inhuman quality. No solider choses to die for their country, but it is an inevitability that lives will be lost in combat, or in other unfortunate ways. Without the government, we have nothing. Without its people, a government can not exist. Whereas in other countries military service is mandatory, it is appropriate that where we have a voluntary force, those who do not serve should still do their part by paying taxes to the government. I'm sorry that this is an early morning disorganized rant, but the website we are all discussing is truly disrespectful in every aspect I could think of. I praise all of those who selflessly put themselves in the service of their country. If anything, we do not honor or appreciate these people enough. Right now, the author of the mentioned disgusting website is sitting at home with freedoms undeserving of him. May he choke on his money and be thrown in jail by the IRS for tax evasion and fraud and may he meet a large brutal inmate named Bubba. If you're in the NYC area, you may want to head out and support some Navy guys and gals during Fleet Week which is fast approaching.

OMG, i thought that this site was a joke....at first.
I am at an utter loss of words, which is unnatural for me. I find that site very saddening with both my father and step-father having been in the military. Say a prayer for him, cuz he is heading towards hell.... If there is one thing I have learned in my relatively short life it is you reap what you sow, and you always get what is coming to you, ALWAYS. Take care..... |

He's just an attention seeking twat... look at the pictures of him at the bottom, no doubt he says all that cos daddy smacked him once and mummy didn't love him. Boohoo, what a sad wikkle wife he has. He's really brave behind his computer, but I bet any money he wouldn't have the guts to say it to a real soldier, because he'd only be chewing his food on the way out.
He's the kind of scumbag who spits on soldiers coming back from a warzone, but wouldn't have the cojones to sign on himself because, god forbid, he might have to cut his hair, and carrying a rifle and jumping things might break a nail. In summary, he's a scunner, I would really like to meet him. In an alley. With a crowbar. We'd get along just fine I reckon. |

OK... it makes you sick... you know what.. the war going on where the USA is sticking their noses in where it doesn't belong again (read: Vietnam) and posts probably make this guy and many others that feel the same way sick. You want to fight for your rights and brag about freedom of speech, yet complain when somebody voices it.
Comments about how you could be half German and half Japanese.... I would think that anyone of German or Japanese decent would have just been greatly offended at that comment as you have just made them a lesser person than an American which if you haven't noticed... "American" is NOT a race... it's a nationality made up of many different races of people. I don't really care for where this thread is going to be heading to, so best to close it now and if you want to carry it on, do so at www.forumclick.com where it belongs.
