Re: hockey! I'm through watching the NHL. The players have pretty much admitted to being paid ridiculous amounts through the last CBA.. so what were they holding out for??

I don't get sports. Why do you need all that money. I played sports, I didn't ask for tons of money. Most of us are fine with 50,000 a year. Why do sports players need 500,000+? Where do these people get off?

can't really say that NHL players are over paid any more then the NBA, NFL, or football...I'm glad its back.

Overpaid when you compare it with the alleged revenue of the league .. which was the issue in the first place .. players commanding more in salaries than the league could allegedly sustain.
I used to be a loyal NHL fan, but they're not getting any more of my $. Esp. since the Leafs (at last check) werent even committed to lowering ticket prices like a lot of other teams.
