apple ibook g3, is it worth 50 bucks
the county that i live in is having a surplus sale.
they are getting rid of all of the g3 ibooks. for 50 dollars each. iBook Specifications • White iBook, Power PC G3 • Operating System 10.2.8 • Installed with AppleWorks version 6.2.9 only • CPU Speed: 500 MHz • Memory: 320 MB • Hard drive: 10G • CD-ROM drive • Screen: 12.1 inches • AC charger • Built-in 10/100 Base-TX • Wireless card — IEEE 802.11 • Fire wire 400 • Two 12 Mbps USB ports not real familiar with ibooks, can the processor and ram be upgraded and if so how much.....

whoa good deal go for it you can't beat $50 for a pc. I'm sure it could be upgraded just look around for a website that will give you the motherboard specs.

they're going for between $300-$500 on ebay, buy a few and sell them.

the good news is that its only 50 bucks.
the bad news, the laptops were used by kids in jr high (middle) and high school. the county I.T. folks have checked them over....but you know kids..... |

just make sure you get some hands on time before buying, I would still get a few of them though and e-bay them. Hell, I'll buy one.

I saw this deal elsewhere -- I would say it's definitely worth $50. It's too bad I can't buy one myself, as I would like to have an iBook but don't have much money for it right now.

Nice deal, you could probly ask family/friends to get one and you give them the 50$ for it and make some money selling them on ebay.

someone called me and told me people were lining up at 10 last night. it was a mad chaotic event. i had too much work to do today
i know how people are at these surplus sales. check ebay a few hundred will be on there this week. |
