I have spent the past few weeks working on this story. could you please read it and give feedback and stuff on it.

Animorphs: The Truth


My name is Tobias. I can tell you much more than the other Animorphs, mainly because the Yeerks (they are evil grey/green slug things that take control of your thoughts, feelings and actions) won’t be able to find me; but if they did I would be dead. My territory is a small area of forest by Rachel’s house and it extends to a small meadow behind.
Yesterday was probably the worst day of my life; an ellimist (They are aliens like the andalites except they poses the power to stop time and cross a million light years in a second. They can make entire worlds disappear. They don’t have a body, they are everywhere at once. Inside your head even inside space and time) gave me back the power to morph. Now you may be thinking why would that be a bad day, it would be wonderful being able to morph into an animal. Back when all of us were given the power to morph (and by all of us I mean Cassie, Rachel, Me, Jake and Marco). It was our first time in a yeerk pool and the others had escaped all except me. I was in a red-tailed hawk morph and had to wait for the right moment to escape, but it took me too long and I passed the fatal two hour morph time limit and I have been a hawk ever since.
So as I was saying when the ellimist gave my morphing powers back, he didn’t give my human body back, so I could morph between animals but not become human again. Later that evening the ellimist sent me back in time to the night before I had walked through the construction sight and the andalite (they are another alien and our allies and they have the body of a deer, the torso of a human and a head which has two eyes and some on stalks, they have three slits for breathing) a ship had landed.
I appeared in my former bedroom and saw my human self-asleep in bed. I flew over and landed on a bedside table, the noise of my wings woke him up “a bird” he said.
I told him. My heart was beating so fast I thought I was going to explode. But at the same time I felt a weird calm. Like I knew what was going to happen. Like it had already happened.
Then I saw the calendar. It was a star trek calendar. The date was the day before I had walked through the construction site with Jake and Marco and Cassie and Rachel.
“A dream?” The sleeper sat up in his bed. He peered at me and I saw a troubled expression in his eyes. “I know you don’t I?” I said.
“How do you know my name?”
what could I say? What could I possibly say to my old self? I couldn’t tell him everything would be alright. I didn’t know that. I couldn’t tell him what was about to happen. No sane person would believe it.
Besides, I had forgotten this dream. Hadn’t I?
I said.
“What?”
I laughed a little sadly. Why had I told him to do that? Why had I sent him thought the construction sight? It was there that everything had begun. It was there that I had started down the path that led to my being trapped as a hawk.
I knew the truth now. I could see it clearly. I was looking at myself. Back when I was human and looking at myself, I couldn’t escape the truth –that wasn’t me any more.
I wasn’t Tobias the human. I had become something else. Something new. What had the ellimist said? “… You are a beginning. You are a point on which an entire time line may turn.”
I said to the human.
“I am asleep, aren’t I? This has to be a dream. And if it isn’t I’ll never get back to sleep!”
I said.
The human Tobias held out his arm. I flapped my wings and landed on him. I was as gentle as I could be with my talons. I didn’t need to dig them in. simple contact was enough.
Tobias’s eyes began to flutter. He became dazed and passive. The way all animals do when they are acquired.
I closed my eyes and focused on him. On the human DNA that was being absorbed into my hawk body.
When I opened my eyes again, I was back in my tree. Had it been real? Or was it all just some silly dream>
Don’t forget, a huge voice said. Two hours,
Tobias.
I didn’t ask what the ellimist meant. I knew I had acquired my own human DNA. But it was just a morph. If I stayed in my old human body I would be trapped there forever. Never again to morph. Never again to be a hawk. Never again to fly.
Have I kept my promise?
I said
And are you happy, Tobias.

Now enough of me being sent back in time by an ellimist. I sat on the branch of a dying elm tree, waiting for a mouse to quickly scamper past. If one didn’t come past, there went my breakfast. I quickly spotted a rather small mouse running though the grass about thirty or forty meters in front of me. I spread out my wings and glided down. As I flew I encountered a thermal, with the warm air rising beneath me I gained some altitude. When I was approaching the mouse I tilted my wings backwards to slow me down, I released my talons ready to catch the poor mouse. Five meters to go. The mouse didn’t notice me until it was too late. I swooped down and grabbed the mouse. The mouse squirmed trying to escape; there was no way I was going to let my breakfast get away from me.
I took the mouse over to a quiet area so I could eat in peace. After breakfast I had to do something that I hadn’t done in a long time, Rachel was going to receive an achievement award in gymnastics; she was good at that sort of thing. To go there I had to morph my human body, a body I hadn’t been in for some time. I hopped into the forest and began to morph my human self. Two minutes later I was running out of the forest in a white t-shirt and some jogging trousers. My human body felt very strange, I had to fight the urge to morph back to hawk. “Remember two hours, Tobias,” I kept repeating to myself.
I started to run to the school so I could give Rachel my congratulations. When I arrived at my former school some of the teachers kept staring at me as if they know me from somewhere. They were giving the awards in the auditorium, so I crept in the back and hid in the shadows.
Rachel was last in line, but I didn’t mind the wait, after all sometimes I had to wait for up to an hour to catch some breakfast. I felt a little uneasy being in my human form as a morph, before I was trapped as a hawk I used to morph from human to animal. Not animal to human and one strange thing is I can spend all day in hawk morph and not get trapped because the ellimist set the hawk as my natural body.
I watched each person was given the award and applauded. When it came to Rachel, I couldn’t help staring at her clean blue eyes. She didn’t notice me, after all who would I had been a hawk for nine months. She stepped down from the stage, I walked over to her “Hello Rachel” I said in my human voice for the first time in ages. Her eyes went wide. “Tobias, is that you?” She asked sounding surprised. “Yes it’s me,” I explained. . She looked at me with a look that drilled into me.
I could see in her eyes that she felt sorry for me. Then I saw Jake and the others. “Hi guys how are you” I asked. Jake gave me a funny look then recognized me. “Tobias, it can’t be, you were trapped” He replied sounding a little confused. “No it isn’t. This is just a morph” I sighed. . I saw a disappointed look in jakes eye. “I will miss you, I have had no one to talk to in P.E for ages” He sighed. “Wait I’ve got an idea, gym is an hour and fifteen minutes. Just enough time for a human morph, then after I will go back to hawk” I explained. No one spoke for a few moments after that. “Tobias isn’t that a little risky, but if you want to” Jake explained sounding concerned.
We left the auditorium and headed outside. “Tobias, I can tell that you are really uneasy, why don’t you morph back to hawk and fly around a bit and you can still hang around with us” Cassie suggested. I took their advice. There was a clump of bushes in the corner of the field. Another thing that I forgot to mention, when you morph an animal it never happens in the same order twice. I ran over to the bushes. One kid who used to bully me a lot started to follow me. When I reached the bushes I crouched down and concentrated on my hawk body and I started to feel my body changing, changing back into the body that I belonged in. My fingers began to melt into feathers. At the same time I quickly took my shirt off to reveal the brown/white feather that were growing. I felt my lips begin to harden to form a beak. My toes curled into the talons I was used too. A few minutes later I took off into the sky.
One of the things that I noticed was the look of confusion on the bullies face. Due to the hot climate there were a lot of thermals, so it was easy work gaining altitude. Next came then part which I enjoy, plummeting to the ground an eighty miles an hour. I flew off the thermal and moved my tail feathers so that I headed straight down. I could feel the wind racing over my wings. “Tseeeeeeeeer!” I screamed in the voice of the red-tail. The sheer speed at which I was going is enough to knock the wind out of you. I pulled out of the dive at around fifty feet. I flew over and landed on Rachel’s shoulder. “Impressive dive” Rachel whispered. “Hey look at this, Rachel had a red-tailed hawk land on her” The Kid who bullied me yelled. Just one quick thing to tell you, in one of Rachel’s books she wrote a description of me and here it is.
Then there was Tobias. Back when all this started, Tobias was barely an acquaintance of Jake and Marco, although I kind of knew him. He was a sweet, poetic kind of guy. The kind bullies love to pick on. He used to have messy blond hair and dreamy eyes that always used to be looking at something that no one else could see. Used to…
Now he has fierce, angry eyes that look through you like laser beams. Now he was brownish feathers, and a white chest, and a reddish tail, and cruel looking talons, and a wickedly curved beak.


Another quickie here is roughly what a red-tailed hawk roughly looks like

I just stood on Rachel’s shoulder tying to act like a normal hawk. It had been five hours since I last ate, so I took off in search of food. . They gave a slight nod to confirm they understood. I was feeling hungrier than normal because of the morphing so I decided to go for a small rabbit. I rode a thermal to gain enough altitude, and then started circling to try and spot an unsuspecting rabbit. There was one by a group of girls; it was the plumpest so I decided to go for that. I stopped circling and folded my wings in. I began to silently pick up speed and dived at the rabbit. This was another method of hunting which works well with larger prey. At around 20 feet away I spread my wings out and released my talons ready to catch it. I quickly grabbed it. As usual the rabbit tried to escape but my grip was too tight and was tight enough the choke it. (After all I need it dead before I can eat it)
After my rather filling meal I flew back other to the others. “Enjoy your rabbit” Marco laughed. . I saw Cassie give me one of her ‘I am ashamed of you looks’, but hey I need to eat to survive. The bully came over to us. I just stared at him while flying about two feet above cassia’s head. Then it hit me, he had seen me, seen me morph. My heart sank. they looked up in shock.
I couldn’t believe I had been so stupid. I had always watched my back before so why did I slip up this time and he better not be a human-controller. By that I mean he better not be infested by a yeerk and the bullies name is Alex. “I know where Tobias is” Alex explained sounding triumphant somehow. “Then where is he?” Jake asked in his serious voice. “Above you head” He pointed up towards me. “Tseeeeeeeeer” I screamed in my hawk voice. I was in serious trouble. I quickly flew off.
I kept asking my self “Why had I morphed when I knew he was following me? Why had I been so stupid?”
At least he wouldn’t be able to find me in the forest. I was going to kick myself for this later. I had really landed the others and myself in it. I looked down at the various houses. I looked at someone’s watch. Two thirty. If I didn’t already mention it, my hawk eyesight is so good that I can see the hands of someone’s watch one hundred feet below me.
I decided to try and find any more entrances to the yeerk pool. We already knew a few of them, one was in our school, one in a car wash and the last one which we know about is in the mall, in one of the clothing stores changing rooms, there is a door way built behind the panels. People go in and never come out; well they do just not at the same place. They come out at the cinema exit.
After midday there are lots of thermals, so flying is really easy. I flew around for a bit to stretch my aching flying muscles. I was exhausted from the day I had, I felt like I could fall asleep in the air. I don’t think I will ever be human again. I have a new life now; I am a hawk not a human.
I turned around and headed back to the tree where I slept. I angled my wings slightly so slow me down, so that I did not miss the branch. The air rising against me slowed me down a tad. I landed with a bump. About ten or so seconds after landing I fell asleep.
There is one thing that I forgot to mention about the andalites. They have a scorpion like tail, which can kill you in one microsecond. When the andalite domeship was destroyed there was one survivor. He is one of our friends and because andalite names are so long we just call him Ax.

I jumped slightly. I asked anxiously. I looked around but saw no one. . Then I saw him in the form of a falcon. I asked. Jake overshot my branch a little and had to go round and land again. . I laughed a little, well as much as a hawk can laugh.
The next time round Jake made the branch. I got the impression that he would prefer me to just stay here, in a way I can see what me meant. It feels very weird suddenly being human when you have been a hawk for almost a year. with that he flew off.
If you were the richest person on the world and had everything you wanted, you would be unhappy. I have nothing and have no money, but I am the happiest u have ever been. After all, money can’t buy you wings. Even though I have been a hawk for sometime now, nothing gives me greater pleasure than flying.
The wind started to pick up so I hid in a hole inside the trunk of the tree. “I must be ready early tomorrow” I said to myself. The think trunk of the tree insulated me from the wind. The next morning I woke at around seven thirty. I hope a mouse comes past quickly. I hopped out onto the branches and focused on the meadow in front of me.
To my luck I saw a nice plump mouse waddling to its own breakfast. I opened my wings, released the grip of my talons and silently glided down towards the mouse. The mouse had started eating. I angled my wings backwards to slow me down while I caught the mouse. When I was low enough, I quickly snapped up talons shut on the mouse. While holding the mouse I flew back to my tree.
I didn’t know that the others were watching me. I hooked my talons round its neck. It squirmed trying to escape. It didn’t take long to kill. I quickly ripped the skin open and pecked at it. “Tobias you’re disgusting”. I quickly spun round to see who it was. I returned to eating the mouse. I normally just eat the torso but today I ate all the edible bits. I turned round and saw the others with a sick look on their faces. I ignored them and focused on my human body. If you saw me morph from a hawk to a human, you would run off screaming like an idiot then probably go and see a psychiatrist.
I felt the last of my feathers disappear. When I morph into a human I appear in a skintight leotard. I quickly went into some bushes and dressed in the cloths that have kept, it was a last reminder of my humanity. We all used to do that because if we didn’t when we morphed back we would be naked. “What was with the look” I asked. “That was the most sickening thing I have ever seen” Rachel explained. I gave her an angry look. I don’t care what they think; I have got to eat. “Shall we go” I asked. Jake didn’t reply we just started down the path to school.
“Look can we just stop complaining; I have got to eat haven’t I. You probably eat more meat in a day than I do in a week” I yelled. I was fuming. They start having a ruck at me all because I eat my breakfast. Do you get what I mean? They eat more meat in a day than I eat in a week.
“Alright can we please drop this subject? Tobias you are right we shouldn’t have yelled at you. Can you remember to keep track of time bird boy?” He laughed. That nickname was one that they always call me and I have to admit it suite me perfectly. As we turned right at the end of the road the school came into sight. “I never thought I would do this again” I explained.
I had to track time perfectly. This was the time when Ax would come in handy, he can tell you the right time to the microsecond. If I was even one second over two hours, I would be trapped. I suddenly felt very nervous. This was very unlike me when I was human. As I tried to figure out what was wrong with me, the bell went for first period. “Lets go” Jake explained as I ran ahead of me.
I ran to catch up with him. “Just remember, no morphing” He instructed. I looked ahead at the white building that housed our indoor facilities. I was so nervous that I was visibly shaking. “Hey calm down there is nothing to worry about” Jake explained as we walked in the changing room.
Obviously I did not have a kit but Jake had a spare kit which I was borrowing. You are probably wondering why this is such a big deal and are probably thinking, what’s the big deal just get changed then do P.E . It is more complicated than that but I will explain later.
We quickly got changed and met the rest of the group outside. Our teacher approached me “Who are you” he asked. “I’m Tobias sir” I explained. “I know you from somewhere don’t I?” He asked. He walked off and told us to run over to the race track. His version of a warm up is one lap of a four hundred metre track. I was never any good at running, but I can do a lap in about forty seconds.
We all lined up and started. I cannot run very fast but can run for a long period of time unlike everyone else. As usual when I ran my heartbeat slowly crept up. “Hey Bird boy, I’m surprised that you aren’t last” Alex yelled as he past me. I was seriously going to punch him if he didn’t shut up. I have been in enough near death situations to not care about school bullies.
As more and more people began to slow down, I caught up with Jake who was the fastest runner in our class. Once we had run the lap. Our teacher, Mr. Renato was preparing the baseball equipment. “Jake never hangs around with that dweeb does he” Alex whispered to his mates. . Jake laughed then just ran ahead to grab a bat.
The way that Jake acts, you would believe that he had the future of the human race in his hands. Seriously I have nearly been killed so many times that I have lost count And because that I do not give a damn about school bullies. “Hope you aren’t as useless at batting as you were last time” Alex laughed. That was the last straw. I spun round and punched him in the face. “WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP. I HAVE BEEN ALMOST KILLED SO MANY TIMES THAT I HAVE LOST COUNT AND PERSOALLY I DON’T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY” I Screamed.
Everyone started staring, mainly because I was the one who never used to defend my self. I used to just let people bully me. Now I was just sick of it. “Tobias, can you just come over here please?” Jake asked. I turned around and ran over. “What are you doing, you are going to give us up. Stop it. Act like you used to” He explained.
The main part of the lesson went well, that is except from the last thirty minutes or so. My two-hour limit was nearing. I am really sorry that I didn’t tell you that when the speech has <> those marks around it, it is thought speak. We use that when we are in a morph.
I quickly ran from the pitch and headed for a patch of bushes. “Tobias…” Jake yelled. Jake started after me.
Since Jake was a much faster runner than me he caught up quite fast. “Look calm down and don’t make it so obvious that you are going somewhere. No quickly go” he explained. I approached the bushes. .
I quickly checked that no one was watching. Good the coast is clear. I began to concentrate on my body. My hawk body and slowly I began to feel myself changing. My fingers began to melt into feathers. I itched all over as brown feathers grew; White ones on my chest. I could feel my bones reshaping. My nose and lips began to form a beak. One minute later I was back in my body. I hopped round and gulped. I was going to get back at Alex for this. He had set up a camcorder and recorded me morphing. The anger hit me like a thousand tennis balls.
I quickly spread out my wings and took off. . I looked down and saw a worried look on his face. I decided to give Alex a scare. I encountered a thermal and began to gain altitude fast. When I was around one mile up. I turned right and lined up with Alex. I was about one hundred metres away from him, but 1 mile above him. I folded my wings in and began to dive.
The speed was incredible, diving to the earth at almost ninety miles an hour. I opened my wings again so I could steer myself. I could see people staring at Alex to see if he would notice. “Alex look behind you” Someone yelled. I angled my wings to slow myself down. Slow enough so that I could land on his arm. Once I had landed I sunk my talons into his arm.
I looked up and saw Jake in peregrine falcon morph. I let go of His arm and flew up to Jake. < I have destroyed the tape, but he might have set the camcorder to transmit the film to another tape>. I seriously hoped that Alex wouldn’t show anyone else that tape. < He better not show anyone else that tape>. We both continued to fly around in circles around the field. I was suddenly engulfed by an irresistible urge to eat. You can’t blame me can you, one mouse inst exactly a suitable breakfast when you are planning to spend a morning in human morph. .

I picked out a medium sized plump rabbit. . He shot me a funny look as if saying ‘I can do a better job than you can’. I flew upwards a little to gain more altitude. I levelled out and spotted the rabbit. I began to dive down and fold my wings in. I used my tail feathers to keep level. As I dived I silently opened my wings and released my talons. I was getting closer to the rabbit. The rabbit looked up. It saw me and began to run. But it was too slow. I dived at it and grabbed it in my talons.
I carried it over to a corner of the field and was joined by Jake. . I quickly dug my talons into the rabbit’s throat. . I shot him an angry look. He looked at me as if he was surprised, as if he didn’t know I was going to eat it. He asked. I sighed, well as much as a hawk can sigh. < When I said ‘do you want to go hunting’ I meant go hunting then eat what we find. I am hungry you know.> I removed my talons from the rabbits neck and ripped the skin open. . I waited for while to see if he would actually eat some. He yelled as if it was obvious. I started pecking at it and ripping the fat off. I hoped that you encourage him.
< You know if you were trapped in a red-tailed hawk body. Rabbit is the bird equivalent of hamburgers. You would eat the odd rabbit, I normally go for mice because they are easier to catch> I tried to explain. I continued eating the rabbit. When I looked up, Jake had begun to morph back to his human form. I asked. I got no reply. When you are in your natural body you can only receive thought speak. As soon as he had morphed back he just gave me a sceptical look. I flew over to the clump of bushes and tried to fly back with jakes clothes in my beak. It wasn’t what you would call easy. They weighed a ton; I had no idea what was in them.
I landed by the dead rabbit. . I continued pecking at the rabbit. I heard a group of people approaching me from behind. . I was getting concerned. “Bird boy, enjoy it while you can” A voice yelled from behind me. Suddenly s felt something hot me on the back of the head. I could feel someone picking me up and putting me in a cage.
Even though I was unconscious, I could still hear what they were saying. Tobias you are on a point on which your life will turn. I woke up sometime later in a cage. I looked round. I was in my old biology room. What was I doing here? Just then the bell ringing defended me. A hawks hearing is much better than a humans, so some noises hurt.
I started thinking about what the ellimist had said while I was unconscious. I started to realise what the ellimist meant. Just then a swarm of students entered the room. Among them I saw Jake, Cassie, Marco, Rachel and Alex. Then my old biology teacher started taking the register. “I know there is no point but is Tobias here” He asked. I glanced around the room hoping that the others would notice me. “Yes Tobias is here” Alex explained. Then I realised what Alex was planning to do. “That makes a change, if he is here where is he” Our teacher asked.
“Allow me to demonstrate” Alex explained as he grabbed my cage while walking up to the front. Cassie looked over at me. The she realised what Alex was planning to do and whispered something to Rachel.
“We have all been wondering where Tobias has been for the past nine months. Last week I found out where he had been hiding and now I have proof. Watch this.” He explained sounding rather enthusiastic. He ran to the back and wheeled a TV/video combo unit to the front of the room.
He plugged the set in and pulled a video out of his pocket. Then he started playing the tape. The opening title appeared ‘The Animorphs’ “I have video footage of Tobias with his friends. You see Tobias is in this very room as I speak” He yelled over the TV. My elm tree appeared on screen followed by me eating the mouse that I had eaten this morning. “Tobias, you ready yet” Jake yelled on screen. Obviously they couldn’t record my reply. On screen I hopped out from behind the tree. I knew what was coming next and so did Rachel and Cassie by the look on their faces.
The hawk on screen began to change. It was me morphing. I watched helplessly from my cage as I watched the hawks feathers melt into human flesh. The beak began to soften into a human mouth. Everyone in the class except from my friends started screaming. The tape continued. It showed me appear in human form, get changed then walk down the road. Alex stopped the tape. “You see, this red-tailed hawk is none other than Tobias. I have a way to make him show himself” Alex yelled. As soon as he opened the cage, I managed to escape.
Since the door was open I flew out the door and into the hallway. The hallway was empty. I decided to morph here. Just then I saw Ax running down the hall in his human morph. Ax’s human morph is a little surprising. It is DNA from Jake, Marco, Cassie and Rachel. He’s a guy yet kinda pretty in a strange way. “Sure what is it” He asked. Andalites don’t have mouth’s so Ax is fascinated my sounds he can make when he is human. < I need you to morph into a red-tailed hawk. > Ax gave me a strange look, then morphed back to his natural form and then to a hawk.
I focused on my human body and I felt things begin to change. Three minutes later I was in human from then I quickly put on the clothes that Ax had been wearing. I walked back into the classroom. “Did you enjoy your fly around” Alex teased. “Oh you mean the hawk. I never saw one” I laughed. He looked at me as if I was stupid. “So you never saw a hawk fly out the door” He asked. I just laughed. I could see he was getting annoyed so I stopped messing with him. “No I never saw a hawk! Oh wait did you mean this hawk” I laughed. I walked outside and Ax hopped on my arm. I walked back inside. “Did you mean this hawk?” I asked.
I saw a shocked look on is face. “wait a second” he reached into his pocket and pulled out a gun type thing. He fired it and me and Ax. I felt very strange. Ax explained. My fingers were beginning to melt brown feathers. At the same time in saw Ax morphing back into his natural body. Of you think you know what strange is, well you don’t. Try watching Ax morph from an animal. I felt my lips begin to harden and push out into a curved beak. I doubled over as new internal organs began to grow. I watched as my bones reshaped. I was shrinking rapidly.
A few minutes later Ax and me were standing there I our true bodies. “See look. Tobias is a hawk. So Tobias what other animals can you morph” Alex asked in a sarcastic way. Like I was going to tell him. He looked round puzzled. I looked over at Jake and could tell instantly that he was going to do something.
This time I was being serious. He explained. I sighed with relief. Jake stopped hiding in the shadows. He silently walked to the front and picked me up.
“Look we all have seen your video. But to be honest I don’t believe you. This could be a 3d computer image. Oh look I can see a projector over there. Also what was the point in bringing this poor hawk into school? All right you put up a convincing argument but be realistic, who believes you” Jake explained. He sounded very convincing; I just hoped that the other people would buy it. “Yeah he’s right. What weirdo would want to show people that” A kind in the front row yelled. I didn’t need a reply; the look on his face told me everything.
Once the class had finished we all quickly rushed back into Cassie’s barn. Once we were there I morphed into my human self. “Thanks Jake, that was too close” I sighed. I sat down on one of the hay bales. Jake was standing as usual. Marco was sitting on another hay bale making stupid jokes and Rachel was pacing from one side of the barn to another, while Cassie was tending to sick animals.
“That is never happening again. Tobias no more school for you and Ax don’t burst in like that!” Jake explained while he started pacing. Ax started to morph back to his natural body. “What did I do wrong? It was Alex that snuck up on me” I explained. “Well duh. Of course he snuck up on you. I thought you hawks had good hearing, nope guess not” Marco laughed. I just glared at him. “Are you saying I’m deaf,” I snapped. Marco and Jake just laughed. Ax asked. “Yes it was” Marco replied. I knew he was joking but was annoyed at his saying that I had bad hearing.
“Can we keep to business? I have some news. To support the number of controllers the yeerks are building another pool by the mountains. It is ready tomorrow but we must destroy it” Jake explained sounding determined. “How do you propose that we destroy it?” I asked with a hint of sarcasm. Rachel stopped pacing and gad a strange look in here eyes. “They are taking people there via a fake coach tour. People book the trips then end up being infested. The next coach leaves this evening” Jake explained.
I guess I kinda knew what he was going to ask. In my heat I knew it all along. “Okay I have a plan but we need to check out the place out the place first. Tomorrow we go and check it out” Jake whispered. “What shall we do now? Wait I know, I know a place up in the mountains and because of a underground lava flow there is a hot spring” I explained sounding exited. I could tell by the look in her eyes that Rachel would love the hot spring.
Since everyone wanted to go, we decided to fly there. Jake laughed and gave a slight nod. We all took off to get our stuff; we agreed to meet by my tree.
“Thanks Jake” I laughed. I followed Jake back to his house. We went in found the back way since he was having a new front door fitted. When I walked in I saw Tom sitting at the table. “Who are you?” he demanded. “Hi I’m Tobias” I replied. What I saw on his face made me feel a little uneasy. You see Tom was a big deal controller and if I said too much to him: he would have me killed.
“Don’t I know you from somewhere?” He asked. I waited in the dining room while Jake went up stairs. “Whoa. Where did you come from” I heard Jake yell. I quickly ran up after him. I had to quickly remember what room was his. I ran into his room. “Jake what happened?” I asked. I looked round and saw a bald eagle sitting on Jakes bed carrying a bad. “Oh hi Rachel” I laughed. I saw Jake digging through his wardrobe. “hah found them” Jake yelled. He stood up and pulled out two pairs of swimming shorts. He chucked a pair over at me along withy a bag to carry them in.
“Okay time to morph” Jake whispered as he opened a window. I focused on my hawk body and began to change. Three minutes later three birds flew out Jakes bedroom window. I explained. I looked down and saw Cassie, Ax and Marco standing by a tree. I dived down and landed in front of them with the bag in my beak.
I asked. I watched as the three of them morphed into their bird bodies. When we were in the air I lead the way. Of course I knew the airspace round here better than anyone. I explained.
I flew into a fast rising thermal and dived down a bit to gains some speed. The wind was facing over my wings and it didn’t move a feather out of place. You can’t imagine what it feels like to fly. It feels amazing. But the disadvantage is that you need to catch and kill your own meals. I saw the mountains in the distance. Five minutes later we all landed by a steaming hot spring. I explained to Rachel and Cassie. They laughed and they both flew down towards the cave.
Marco laughed. I just stared at him. I laughed and used my wing to point to my left. We hopped down a sandy track and morphed in the cave. “Thanks for lending me the swimming shorts” I whispered to Jake as we walked out of the cave.
I saw Cassie and Rachel walking down from the over cave. “That hot spring looks perfect” Jake whispered. I just laughed. Although Jake is very serious, he can be quite funny sometimes. “Yes I know I have been here before. That’s why when you came to my tree a month back my cloths very wet” I replied. Jake gave me a funny look. “What I have a lot of spare time” I laughed. We stood around the steaming pool of water. “Tobias you first” Rachel laughed. I asked. She just glared at me. “Your first because it was your idea to come here” Rachel laughed.
I couldn’t argue with that. The last time I came here I learnt from experience that you need to go slowly otherwise you can expect to go home with a nice burn mark. I slowly stepped into the steaming water. Just sit back and imagine having a bath and the water is the perfect temperature; that was what it felt like. I moved over and sat on one of the rocks in the pool. “Come on in” I asked. “Don’t worry the water is just right” I added.
Slowly everyone got in and sat in the rocks, which are in the pool. “We should come down here more often and the air is perfect” Rachel laughed. We all sat back and rested against the ridge. “I always come here to relax and also to clean my feathers” I explained. Jake gave me a sceptical look. Since there was an underground lava flow the water never cooled down. “So that’s why your feathers always look shiny,” Rachel said sounding surprised. “Yeah what did you think I used to do?” I laughed. I looked over at Marco he looked as if he might fall asleep. “Never mind going swimming when you have this” Cassie sighed. “Hey long have we been here. We have got to go and set up something,” Rachel hinted. Jake stared her then he realised what she meant. “Oh yes. We need to go now” Jake replied as he walked back into the cave.
I stepped out of the pool and morphed back into my hawk body. I asked. “Yes Tobias is right, we better get moving” Cassie replied as everyone got out and morphed. I asked. Everyone quickly used their beaks to put their clothes away.
I saw Jake flying back from the cave. Once we were all ready we took of home. I lead the way home because you need to fly the route a few times before you get used to it. While I was flying I tried to figure out why Rachel needed to go back. I haven’t told many people this but even though I keep saying that I am a hawk now, you don’t know how much I wish I could become human again.
As we were flying the wind started to blow from behind us, so that sped us up a tad. Rachel explained. They all flew over to Rachel’s house for some unknown reason.
I continued to fly around for a bit. Just some time to think about things. Things which I haven’t told you yet, things which I cannot tell you. My hawk brain started to gain control to go hunting because I hadn’t eaten in so long. No I am in control, this is my body now. I had to fight to stop myself from going hunting.
For a few hours after that I was perched in my tree. Looking around at stuff. As you probably gathered I was boarded out of my skull. I looked down at a watch which had been drooped. Oh crud I should be at Rachel’s by now. I had time this perfectly. I needed to leave enough time to morph, go there and return then morph back.
I flew onto the ground and concentrated on my human body. I instantly began to hear the changes. I could hear my bones reshaping. My beak became my lips and teeth. Turing from a hawk to a human is pretty disgusting and for that reason I am not going to describe it anymore, mainly because writing about it makes me feel sick. A few minutes later I walked out of the trees dressed in some clothes that Rachel got me for special occasions when I morphed into my human self.
Rachel’s house is probably two minutes walk from my tree. As I walked down the path which lead to the main road I tried to figure out why the others were acting so suspicious. There was a light breeze which messed my hair up even more. I am not saying that my hair was all over the place. I did used to comb it, but due to the wind when I got to school my hair looked like it hadn’t been combed.
I knocked on Rachel’s door. Her mum answered. “Hi Naomi is Rachel in? She asked me to stop by” I asked. She nodded. “yes she and the others are in her room upstairs. Go straight up” She explained. With that I walked in through their living room. I quickly ran up the stairs and knocked on her door. “Rachel it me can I come in?” I asked.
“Who is it?” She asked. Why did she ask who it was, she knew who it was.
“Rachel you know it’s me now stop acting the clown” I replied sounding serious.
“Yeah come in, I was just screwing with you Tobias” she laughed. I opened the door and went inside. Rachel was the only one in there.
“Where is everyone” I asked. She just looked at me with a puzzled expression. “Oh they are coming by later” she replied as I sat down at the end of her bed. “Tobias there is something that I need to tell you. The andalites have found a way to reverse the effects of being trapped in a morph. They have sent us the antidote. I am asking you if you would like to become human again and still be able to morph” she asked. I was shocked. Surely she knew what my answer would be, but if I did where would I stay. My uncle who I used to live with has moved. “But Rachel if I did decide to, where would I stay. I have no where to go” I explained. She gave me a funny look.
“Now that my younger sister has gone to live with my dad. We have a spare room. All you would have to put up with is Sara” Rachel explained. I could see it in her eyes that she did care about me. What she did next I couldn’t explain.
She moved over so that she was sitting next to me. “Tobias I lay in bed every evening worrying about you. Worrying if you have managed to catch your food. Worrying if you have got a place to sleep” She explained. She started crying, but not in a sad way. She walked up to her desk and pulled a photograph out of the top draw. “Remember this. It was when you had walked hone with me and Sara had taken a photo graph of both of us. That is what you used to be. Kind, gentle and you could see things that no one else could see. But now look at you” She yelled. I sat there thinking about what she had said. “Rachel why are you getting so upset about me, of all people why the boy whose family is so screwed up he lives with his aunt and uncle. Why me?” I asked. She looked at me as if I knew the answer. Suddenly I heard people whispering outside Rachel’s door. “Because I …. Love you” She explained.
The realization of what she had said hit me like a ton of bricks. Marco and Jake followed by Cassie burst in. “Now that was too good. You two can stop the act now” Marco laughed. I glared at him. “What act?” Rachel asked in a curious tone. They all looked surprised. “Oh come on. The whole I worry about you so much routine. Tobias that was so funny” They laughed. I asked. Rachel looked at he and I got my answer. She seriously did love me.
“Marco there is a place for your jokes, but when I am expressing my true feelings to a friend. That is not the right place. Tobias do you have your answer yet” She explained. I seriously wanted to become human again but at the same time how could I stoop so low that I would be staying at Rachel’s house. “Rachel I would like too. But I have no where to stay” I replied. She gave me a piercing look. I saw a look in her eyes. “Tobias. I have told you, I have already asked and my mum doesn’t mind” She explained.
“Can we get back to business? In order to destroy the yeerk pool we need a new type of weapon which is being developed by a company in Britain. To be exact they are in shoeburyness. We need to go there and find out as much as we can about the new weapon” Jake explained. I looked at him as if to say ‘well that’s alright. All we need now is about a grand for the plane tickets’. “Yeah good plan but where do we get the plane tickets” Marco laughed. “|We can all thank Ax for that. He hacked into the airline website booking system and booked us seats. Our flight leaves Tomorrow evening and once we are there Ax has arranged a cab to take us to a small hotel in the area. There is also some interesting wildlife in England that there isn’t here. Everyone got that” Jake explained. Marco sighed with relief. “Tobias if you are going to take the antidote you need to take it before noon tomorrow” joke explained. I looked over at Rachel’s clock. There wasn’t enough time to bet back. “I haven’t got enough time left so I’ll have to morph in here” I explained sounding urgent.
I jumped of the bed and concentrated in my hack body. I began to change. “Tobias that’s disgusting” Marco yelled. I was too far gone to say shut up. The final change was my leg bones shortening and changing shape. Call me strange but one of the places that I have always wanted to go to is England. There is some wonderful scenery.
I asked. They all nodded. A few minutes later I was my human self. I felt exhausted. Morphing so much really takes it out of you. “Sorry I’m just a bit tired that’s all” I sighed. I asked. She looked up at me as if to say ‘about time’. She pulled a bottle of blue fluid from here coat pocket. “That looks disgusting” I yelled. But I had no choice, it was drink some of it or remain a hawk for the rest of my life.
“Ax said that you need to mix it with some water then drink it in one go. But you need to drink it when you are in the morph of your natural body. Which you are in so I will just go and get a cup of water” Rachel explained sounding happy. I looked over at Jake. “Tobias we are not forcing you into this. Do what you want and also if you remain a hawk you will need to go in the baggage compartment of the plane tomorrow” He laughed.
Rachel returned with a cup of water in her hand. “Okay now all we need to do is pour some of the stuff I with the water” She explained as she done so. Next she handed me a cup of blue liquid to drink. “Come one Tobias” They all laughed. I slowly lifted the glass to my lips and slowly drank it. I nearly spat it out. “That is the most horrible, disgusting, putrid, sickening thing I have ever drunk” I yelled. I suddenly felt very strange. “Tobias are you feeling alright. You look ill” Cassie asked.
I began to feel faint. I don’t know what happened next. I woke up on the Rachel’s bed with everyone standing over me. “What happened? I feel like I had a tone of concrete over my head” I moaned. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. “Tobias are you feeling alright” Jake asked. For a moment I just sat there before standing up and walking over to the window. “Yeah I’m fine. Is it done?” I asked. They gave me puzzled look. I sighed and spun round.
I told them that I would meet up later in Cassie’s barn. I left Rachel’s house and headed back to the small area of forest. Even though I had a place to stay. I was going to eat as a hawk. But wait, had my aunt moved. I will just go and check. I tuned round and headed back up the street back to the house where I used to live. I looked up at the house. It seemed strange to suddenly knock on the door again.
I walked up to the front door and rung the door bell. “Who is it” My aunt yelled. I suddenly thought about what I was going to say. “It’s me Tobias” I replied. The door suddenly flung open and my aunt was staring at me. “Tobias where have you been for god knows how long. I have been worried sick” She yelled. I slowly walked inside. “I phoned the police hundreds of times but they couldn’t even find a trace of you” She explained.
“Did you go away because of me?” She asked. I was stunned. “No I went because of personal reasons” I explained.
“Do you want anything to drink?” Aunt may asked
“No thanks I have already had a drink this morning” I explained.
“But it’s halve past two. What am I meant to tell the school, I cant exactly say that you disappeared because you felt like it” she asked. “Don’t tell the school anything. Is my room still here” I asked. She looked shocked.
“Yes why wouldn’t it be? I have kept it as if was in case you ever decided to come back” She laughed. I stood up and went upstairs into my room. I slowly opened the door. When I walked in I knew what she meant. She had left it exactly how I had left it. My room was decorated in bluish wallpaper with a pine desk, bed and wardrobe. It felt really strange being human again; try being a hawk for so ling then you will know what I mean. Anyway I better start packing. That reminds me I just need to phone Jake.
Just then I heard people yelling my name outside. I ran over to my window and opened it. “Yeah what is it?” I yelled. “Come on we are all meeting at Cassie’s barn” Marco yelled. I shut my window, grabbed my coat and ran down stairs. “See you later. I have got to go and meet some friend” I yelled. Aunt may put her head round the kitchen door way. “Alright just be back by ten” she replied. I ran out the front door.
“Looks like my aunt didn’t move after all” I explained. Marco just laughed. “Are we meeting Jake, Cassie and Rachel there” I asked. He gave me a look which said ‘yes what are you stupid’. “Have you started packing yet” I asked
“Yes. I’m busy deciding what I should do when the English people find out our secret” He laughed.
I saw Jake whit Rachel walking down from the opposite direction. “Hey Jake, Rachel” I yelled. We Ran ahead to catch them up. “That reminds me. Jake how long will we be in Britain” I asked. We continued down the road for a bit longer before turning down the road which led to Cassie’s farm. “About a week. I booked the return flight about eight days after we arrive” He replied.
As we walked over to the barn we saw Cassie running over. “Hi guys” She yelled. We all ran over and went into the barn. Inside there is every time of small animal that you can think of. “Okay and can someone please remind me why we are here. No wait we are here to discuss what the British government are going to do to us when they find us sneaking round the MOD base” Marco asked. We all started laughing. “Very funny Marco. But we need to take the seriously. Once you are caught up in the British legal system you will be in jail for life. So out flight leaves at four thirty and don’t forget, anyone could be a controller. Even in Britain. Also remember the airport security is a nightmare” Jake explained while pacing. I walked up to the hawk from which I acquired the hawk DNA. “Rachel you will be pleased to know that in southend and the surrounding area they have more shops than you can count” Jake laughed. I saw Rachel smirk.
Rachel is the type of person who, in between morphs and getting herself killed can still look like a magazine model. “Can you imagine telling the judge why we did it? We are sorry but we had to because we can morph into animals are trying to save the world” Marco laughed. We all started laughing. I looked over at Jake. “Okay now I need to think about what my excuse is going to be, as to why I have been of for nine months” I explained. They all started laughing. “Okay nice joke. Is there anything else that we are going to talk about besides being arrested by the British government?” Marco asked. We all laughed. “Okay let’s move onto the subject of movies” Rachel laughed. “Can you imagine, trying to make a movie out of this. That would be something to laugh about” Laughed. I walked over to the exit to get some fresh air. “Yeah and if they cast us to play us they wont need a special effects team to do the morphing” Marco added. That time even I laughed.
“Anyone got any other news?” I asked. Rachel glanced over at me. One thing I forgot to mention. She may look like miss teen model but if you hint to her that she is weak you will go home with a black eye and a broken arm. Trust me I have seen her do it at school. “Tobias you will at least stay one night” Rachel explained. “Rachel would like to but...” I started.
“But nothing. You are staying round mine tonight so I know that you are getting a decent night sleep for the first time in nine months” she yelled. I sighed.
“Alright you win” I laughed as she rugby tackled me. “Alright stop it you two love birds” Marco laughed. Luckily I fell on a hay bale. “So remember when we arrive in Britain, be cautious we don’t know if the yeerks have taken England yet. Be on your guard” Jake explained as we all walked back home. “So Rachel do you just want to quickly come back to mine so I can get my stuff” I asked. She just nodded.
“So Tobias. I am sorry that I kinda forced you into taking the antidote earlier” Rachel explained.
“It’s alright. I know what you mean; while I was a hawk I was acting too tough. To tell you the truth, I was acting like that because I was hawk. Hawks don’t act weak and let people walk all over them. Before I got trapped I used to let people walk right over me” I explained. Rachel started laughing.
I knocked on my door. “It’s me and I’m with a friend” I yelled. The door quickly opened. “Aunt may this is Rachel she’s is one of my friends” I explained. I quickly ran up stairs, grabbed my pyjamas and shoved them in a bag. When I got back down stairs Rachel was sitting down. “Nice girl you got here Tobias” My aunts explained. I blushed.
“Hey she’s just a very good friend. See you tomorrow. I’m sleeping round a friend’s” I explained. She just nodded and we ran out the door. “Tobias there is one small thing that Jake didn’t tell you” Rachel explained. I gulped. When Jake doesn’t tell you something then you know it is serious. “Near the base there is a high school and they might no something. Jake has arranged for us to do a presentation on exotic animals. The school is called shoebury high. And you are going to be a hawk” She laughed.
“Oh well. You get what you deserve” I sighed. We didn’t talk about anything else until we arrived at her house.
“Thanks for inviting me Rachel” I explained as she unlocked her door. “Mum Tobias is here” she yelled.
That evening we passed the time by just talking about normal stuff. You know, Rachel was talking about the gymnastics tournament she was doing and I just talked about what my old school was like before I moved here. Nothing about being an animorph just normal stuff. For a moment there it was like old times, before we had walked through the construction site. But it didn’t last that long. Rachel’s sister Sara came in with her new camera
She held up the camera and took a picture of both of us sitting On Rachel’s bed. “Now I have a picture of your new boy friend” She teased.
“Sara” Rachel moaned. I just put my head down and blushed. Rachel saw me and started laughing. “Trust you Tobias” She laughed.
“What is Ax going to be doing while we are away” I asked. “I think he is going up to the mountains” She replied. I stood up and stretched my back. “Rachel, Tobias dinner” Naomi yelled from downstairs. “You never told me that” I explained. “No I didn’t because I knew you would refuse” She replied as we walked downstairs.
We had to walk through the kitchen to get to the dining room. We all sat down. “Thanks Naomi” I explained as we all started eating. Later that evening we were back upstairs talking about all the stupid things that had happened to us. I looked over at the clock. Nine thirty. “Tobias when you look at me what do you see?” Rachel asked. Who would ask a question like that? I suppose I better answer. “I see a beautiful teenager who would do anything for her friends” I explained.
“Why do you ask?” I asked. She sighed and stood up and went over to her window. “Tobias you are one of the only people who has liked me for who I am. Could you just wait outside while I get changed” She explained. I nodded and left the room, shutting the door behind me.
The next morning I quickly ran back to my house to get my school books. When I got back Rachel was sitting downstairs. “Morning, Did you sleep well?” she asked. I shut the door behind me. “Yeah I did. I just went back to get my books” I explained. I waited while she quickly finished of some homework. “Have you packed your stuff yet” I asked. She looked up. “Oh for the mission thingy yeah I have. We need to leave school at lunch” She explained.
Later we all met up when we were eating lunch. “That was too rich. I knew spying on Rachel would pay off” Marco laughed. “You did what” She snapped. I picked up my knife and fork and began eating my lunch. “Last night when you and Tobias were talking, I was the bird sitting on your window” Marco laughed. During lessons I had a few teachers asking where I had been. I had to come up with a really good excuse.
“Everybody finished. Okay we better go” Jake explained as we out our rubbish in the bin.
Our little plane journey turned out alright. It turns out that Rachel doesn’t like planes. “Look I have told you. We are going to land in three minutes” I yelled. Rachel was still holding on o the chair for dear life. “Look the chances of being in an accident are about a million to one” I explained..
Now I am going to skip foreword to when we were arriving at the school to do the presentation. It was on our second day. Yesterday we just relaxed in the hotel and explored the town. “So does everyone know what they are doing” Jake asked as we de-morphed. The part of the building which you saw from the front looks quite old. We all walked into the office entrance and found a door which was looked by a magnet and was opened by someone pressing a button.
Someone walked through and opened the door. “Tanks” Jake whispered and walked up to the office window. “My names Jake Bereson and we are scheduled to do a presentation” He explained. “Oh yes, go straight through and follow the signs” She replied. Great how helpful is that. We all walked away and through the next set of doors and turned right. “So remember Tobias, Rachel only morph back when no one is in sight” Jake whispered. It seemed to take us forever to actually find the right place. “Thank god our school inst this big” Marco whined. I spotted a sign at the far end of the corridor. “This way” I explained and led the others to the hall. “Just call me hawk eye” I laughed. For once in my life I actually made everyone laugh. We went in through a brown door saw that someone was preparing something. “Are you the people doing the presentation?” She asked.
“Yeah we are” Jake replied. She looked at him as if she had seen him before. “You better get ready. They students will be arriving soon” She explained as she set out about five chairs. “Okay so Rachel, you go in your bear morph, Cassie your wolf and Tobias you will do your hawk. After that I will do my tiger morph” Jake whispered as the hall started to fill. We all got into positions. “Tobias we forgot to tell you, while you were unconscious Marco dyed your hair black” Jake laughed. I spun round and glared at him. The students continued to arrive. “Be careful not to tell them too much any one of them might be a controller” Cassie warned Jake.
Once everyone had arrived and they were all settled Jake started. “Hi I’m Jake. You need to cut me a bit of slack here I never normally presentations. What I am about to show you next are a series of animals. I want to see how much you can tell me about them. I’ll start with Tobias” He explained then winked at me. “I’ll be back in a sec” I yelled. I ran out a door and looked around to make sure that no one was there. I concentrated on my hawk body and began to change.
I could hear my bones re shaping and shortening. A few moments later I flew back in the door in my hawk body. “Thank you Tobias” Jake yelled. I flew over and landed on Rachel’s shoulder. A boy put his hand up. “Where did Tobias go” she asked. Rachel glanced around the room. “Oh he’s around” Rachel said looking around.
“How many of you know what type of bird this is” Rachel asked. Since no one replied she continued. “It is a red-tailed hawk and it only lives in the U.S. It lives everywhere from the tip of Alaska to the Mexican boarder” She explained. She looked round as if looking for something. “Would anyone like to have him on their shoulder?” she asked. I looked at their reaction. I found one kid who looked terrified. I fell foreword from Rachel’s shoulder, spread out my wings and flew over to the kid.
I explained to the kid. He looked up at me in surprise. It was as if he knew me from somewhere before. I hoped that he didn’t know me. I continued as I landed on his shoulder. “See he doesn’t hurt does he” Rachel yelled over the noise. “I heard something” The boy yelled. Rachel looked up at him.
“What do you mean?” Rachel asked. The boy looked puzzled. “I heard it. But I didn’t hear it. I heard it in my head” he explained. Rachel shot an angry look at me. She began to run up the stairs. “I need to take him back now” She explained in a soft voice and took me of his shoulder. “Go and morph back now” She whispered in a very quiet voice. I knew why she had said it. < Was it because of the boy> I asked
I flew out the door and into a deserted corridor. I focused on my human body and I slowly morphed back. I picked my jacket up and ran back in. “Sorry I had to go. Did you like the hawk” I asked. They were looking at me in a strange way. Rachel stepped forward. “Now we are going to show an animal which will be a little bit more interesting. Jake” she explained. Jake nodded and walked outside. “So I probably look quite suspicious now. Since I walked out and a hawk came in, then the hawk went out and I came in. I know what you are thinking. Let me ask you this, if that was what happened, how would I have don’t it?” I asked.
I looked round at the puzzled response. It was obvious that I was not going to get an answer. I quickly ran over to the door to see if Jake was ready. “Jake you ready” I whispered. I looked round and spotted him. We continued doing our presentation and the students seemed to enjoy it. At the end we all glanced at each other. Cassie had a serious look on her face. I knew what she was doing.
I looked over to see if anyone else was going to speak. “Does anyone have any questions?” I asked. I looked round and eventually a few people put their hand up. “Yes what is it” I asked. “Where are the animals?” A boy asked. I gulped. We answered a few more before walking to the side and letting some other people do what they had to. “Come on guys give them some appreciation. Well done that was amazing” The head of year yelled. We all stood there watching them. “One more thing. I would like you to do a series of presentations in various classes. Science being first” She explained.
We just stood at the side until the end. “When is this going to end?” Marco asked. I glanced over at him.
“Should end any minute now” I replied. I took a quick glance at the various teachers that were standing at various positions around the room. “Something is wrong round here” Jake was whispering my ear. I knew what he meant, there was seriously something wrong with this school. I don’t know what it is, but I know that something is wrong. This will need investigation, but we have other matters to attend to, breaking into a Mod base for example.
I will jump to when we were back at the hotel later that day. I was in the hotel room on my own; the others had gone to explore the high street. “Better unpack my stuff” I was saying to myself as I began to run some cold water in the sink. I quickly began dunking my face in the ice cold water.
Oh yes I better tell you why I skipped part of the story. The rest of the day was really boring, so there was no point in writing about it. The icy water began running down onto my chest. Just to let you know I always take my top of before washing my face, it is just a habit I have. Suddenly the sound of the door opening echoed through the bathroom. “Tobias are you here” Cassie was yelling. I opened the door slightly and poked my head round into the main room. “Yeah I’m here”.
I quickly out my shirt back on and sat down on my bed and began unpacking. “Jake told me to ask you if you want to eat out in town or just say here” Cassie was explained while I was unpacking. “Sure why not. Just give me a sec to get changed.
Later that evening I was walking with Cassie to the restaurant which we were eating at. It was some fancy place that Jake had made a reservation at yesterday. “You know Rachel go mad when she sees you in that tuxedo” Cassie laughs. I just let out a long sigh. “But I like this white tuxedo. Besides I have only worn it once before” I explain. I had only worn it to a school dance that Rachel persuaded me to go to. Don’t get the wrong idea about that.
Cassie stops outside a restaurant “Here’s the place”. We both walk in and I search for the others in the maze of seats. “Tobias over here” Jake yells. Cassie leads me to the table, because she knew where it was. I pull a chair and sit down. Marco starts the conversation “Not many decent game shops round here”. I sigh and stare blankly at the window. “Tobias you alright” Cassie asks me. “Yeah I’m fine. Shall we all go for a fly when we get back” I ask. “Sure” Everyone whispers.
I reach over and pick up a menu. “Lets see what they have” I say to myself. I scan the endless lists of food and come across cooked rabbit with potatoes and carrots on the side. Rachel looks over and laughs. “Tobias is having the rabbit” She laughs. Everyone then starts to laugh. “You should try it. Rabbit tastes great” I recommend. Jake gets a serious look on his face “Okay we need to decide what we are doing when we check out the Mod place. What if we take a James bond style approach”.
I saw a smirk appear across Marcos face. “I like the sound of that” He laughs. “Does anyone have any ideas of how we would do that” I ask. We stop the conversation while we order our food.
“That Tobias is your job. You need to get into then place without being noticed and then give us the all clear” Jake whispers. I give a slight nod to acknowledge. “I will leave it to you to figure out how to get in” Jake continues.

Some of the gramical errors might be becuase im english. Also there is one that i fixed after posting and csnt be bothered to edit the post.

Believe me, there's more than one. And I speak the Kings English, not that rubbish the Yanks speak :P
For instance, search for foreword in the text and replace it with forward.
