"The get paid monthly to use an internet browser scheme". Does it work?

I'm not sure if any of you have tried this before. But there are some places that supposedly pay you for leaving up a browser you download from their site by the hour.

Here's how it's supposed to work:
1. you sign up on their site
2. you download and install their browser on your machine (or preferably a junk machine you can leave on all the time)
3. you open up the browser and it will change websites every hour or so.
4. it pays you like .45 cents an hour to leave it up and at the end of the month, they transfer the money to your bank account.

so, has anyone ever tried one of these schemes? do they actually work? if so, this would be great >>

Nah, I actually developed a program to make it think your using it (mouse moves, some window movements and website visitations etc). I accumulated over 500 bucks and never got sent money.

Well the best way to do something like this is to not cheat

Someone can try actually leaving the site open or just using it regularly.

Sounds a lot like a scam to me. Especially the latter point that TR pointed out.

Certain sites do send money, others don't. Some pay commissions to add new people, others don't. A 50/50 proposition at best, why bother?!
