Something to get you thinking

This is a question about the jack the ripper murders, and the last victim Mary Jane kelly.

It is late at night and mary jane kelly returns hone after an evening at the pub. She is doing something in her room when she hears a knock at the door "come in s'open" She says. A man walks in and shuts the door behind him. He puts a bag on a table. "Can i take your coat" Mary asks.
he dosent reply he is searching for something in his bag. "Something wrong"Mark asks. The man pulls a knife out of his bag "Oh dear god. No.No" mary screams.

The next day the rent man knocks at her door demanding his rent. When no one answers he looks thought the window and runs straight to the police. When They turn up, inspector abberlyine who is in charge of the case walks in to look at the body. He is skocked by what he sees.

Her face has been hacked beyond recognition. There is a deep cut in her throat. Her abdomen has been completly cut open and her right breast cut of and placed on her right shoulder. Her intestines have been severed and placed in a pile in the table.Abberlyine looks at the blood stained room. then back at the body. Both of her kindeys have also been removed and placed on the table along with her stomach. One of her lungs has also been removed and placed on the bed. He then walks over to a pot on the fire. He pulls the lid of and sees her bleeding hert. The water has also turned blood red. He turns back to the face. It shows that be has tried to cut the face of, but failed. Instead he has hacked at it to make her face unrecongnisable. There are also deep cuts on her legs as well. Due to the extent of the dame the body is left in there to be examined. There is no evidence of a sexual attack. She was poor and had no money on her.

When the police go asking round. No one hears a thing. Not even the people next door.

how does no one hear a thing

Actually, something very similar happened with a co-worker several years ago... his neighbour was brutally murdered and the next thing he knew, there were police all over the place and of course asking neighbours a bunch of questions.... he seriously didn't hear a thing... he even had his windows opened as did the victim.

I've murdered a couple dozen people myself and have never been caught

I guess we'll have to capture good old Jack and ask him what his trick was....

Actually... here's another one for ya... my neighbours truck got hit last night parked right in front of his house... we're talking a jacked up full sized truck here.... the rear axle is broken off the spring, the drive shaft is bent and broken, this thing is a write off... it was parked in front of his house and is now in front of his neighbours house.... nobody heard a thing and the vehicle that hit him is gone.

If the deep cut in her throat damaged her larynx, couldn't that have made it impossible for her to scream or anything like that? Of course that wouldn't have prevented anyone from hearing her scream before the attack. Is there actually an answer to this or are you just messing with our heads?

As far as the truck is concerned, that's clearly alien experimentation... they've been doing it for years

Its easy,
If the windpipe is severed below the vocal cords then its impossible to scream because no air can flow past the vocal cords. If he lowers her to the floor after severing the throat then there is no thud as she hits the floor. Seems like it could be perfectly silent to me. I don't see how the disembowlment could make any noise either.

I'm curious why it is assumed a murder has to make lots of noise?

Ask any Navy Seal or Army Special Forces member (or even some of us Vietnam War vets) about "silent death". The word "stealth" had a whole different meaning in 1967 than in 1997.

I think David and Red have it then you add the fact that Jack would have been pretty proficient by this time.

thats easy, uer lying to get someone scared...lol j/p...well one THEORY is whoever drove it (like the owner) got drunk and got in an accident parked the car in the neighbors drive thinking its his house..and how do u know a car/truck hit him that its suppose to be there now? if i were to hit someone accidently i wouldnt sit there to wait for someone to wake up when i can escape (common sense) unless that person parked the car in the middle of the street for no reason, then i'd be pissed i'd call the cops asap just to arrest that punk

I am kinda screwing with your heads. Although there is the part when she first saw the knife and was screaming.

Who would want to do THAT to someone anyway. It makes me sick thinking about it. Imagine walking into someones room and seeing them laying on thier bed cut up like that with most of thier insided on the table. YUCK

Maybe it's as simple as everyone was asleep? Also, some people do not want to get involved. A single bang may wake some people up but if you think about it, a single short noise is going to be gone before a person who was awakened by the noise is conscious.

K well I'm not up on my Jack the ripper knowlege but how do we know that there was a scream?

Also isn't there a threory on people being scared stiff? Where people just freeze up and not make a sound?

Side note: Went and seen Saw2 last night..dunno why but I dig this movie.

Jimmie, I finally got the wife to see Saw 1 and she actually liked it. Pretty good scary movie for Halloween. The ending is great. I won't blow it for anyone. So, you say Saw 2 was good also. I really liked the first one. Now I will have to spend coutless hours trying to talk her into seeing the second one. Isn't if fun spoking the wives?

The answer lies with the person who reported that she asked him in and offered to take his coat and all the other reported events that took place prior to the actual assault/murder.
