Newegg using UPS as the main shipper?

I have noticed more and more items on Newegg say "Free 3-day shipping" instead of "FedEx Express Saver" like it used too. When I add stuff to my cart the UPS 3-day option is much cheaper than the FedEx Express Saver. Are they switching over? I really prefer FedEx as I have had some very annoying experiences with UPS and slow shipping.

Looks like UPS is giving them a better deal now. If you look, UPS Ground is even cheaper.

Yeah, it appears that UPS has given them a better offer. Honestly, I think cometition is good, it keeps things going. As long as I order on monday and get on thursday or order on tuesday and get on friday, I won't care. If there are delays, I'm not going to be happy. Much of newegg's reliability has rested with fedex after processing. UPS better hold up to that standard.

Not gonna happen in my neck of the woods, UPS is a day late and a dollar short.

So long as I still have the FedEx option newegg is right with the world.

Yeah, I have to remember to change it to FedEx Saver, which comes in 2 days rather than UPS which may make it here on day 3.

That's too bad. I hate UPS and much prefer FedEx. If I miss the delivery for FedEx during the day I can usually go to their location after work and pick the stuff up the same day. I can't always do that with UPS. Plus, the FedEx place is a lot closer to where I live than UPS.

I just ordered 4 300GB Hard drives. UPS shipping was $13.96. When I bumped it up to FedEx Saver, it was $19.90. About $1.50 extra per computer. Worth it to me.

I've always like UPS - they have good rates and fast shipping, or at least for me.

I just ordered an entire system from Newegg through UPS - to their credit, they were very quick. I ordered on Saturday, Newegg processed and UPS shipped out on Monday to arrive on Wednesday. I call that impressive.

Seems people's dealings with UPS, FedEx, and USPS vary greatly, depending on region among other things.

Here, we know our UPS man by name, and he is a very friendly guy. Do I even know what the FedEx guy looks like? Nope....and we always prefer UPS over FedEx.

But to each their own.

Well, UPS is based here in Washington and my experiences haven't been great. It does seem to vary widely by region. I had put together a hypothetical system on Newegg to compare to ZZF and the UPS shipping at Newegg totaled $38 while the FedEx shipping was $83. By the way, with shipping in included the identical system at Newegg was about $250 less than at ZZF.

Yep, UPS delivers here in 3 days (even with 5 day service)...and it even has to go a wee bit farther than yours does (over to Indy, then down here).
