I interpret it to mean Santa is honoring Jesus by kneeling before Him.

The meaning of Christmas for many is Santa at the shopping mall, lights on the house, plastic reindeer, presents, an inflatable Frosty the Snowman and after Christmas sales at Walmart.

The true meaning of Christmas is the birth of Jesus.

Just guessing.
